The new story on MW reminded me of another story where Brian wore glasses. The only clear memory of this fic I have is Justin walking into their bedroom and Brian is on the bed reading with his glasses on. Justin says something to him and Brian barely responds. Justin thinks something like, "damn, he's still pissed." The scene ends with them making up.

Such a small detail, I know, but hopefully it jogs someone's memory. I believe it was a post-513 multi-chapter story and they're living at Britin. Brian is probably in his early or mid 40s.

NEW DETAILS: Gus is a teenager, lives with B/J, and has a thing for his music teacher...Ethan, of course. Justin goes to dinner with him as friends and the scene I just described occurred when he got home from the dinner. Justin jokes that he and Ethan fucked.

So it's my 24th birthday and I would love it if you would all distract me from the fact that I am now in my mid-twenties and how my quarter life crisis is on its way.

In all seriousness, I am looking for feel-good or humorous QAF fics. Of course I love B/J but it can be any pairing or not focused on a romantic pairing at all. I am just looking for something to make me smile. There can be some angst but I am not looking for anything too upsetting.

Hi guys!

I'm hoping some of you can help. I'm recovering from surgery and not really allowed to do much - I can only use the keyboard for 15mins a day, so I can't even do much writing and I'm climbing the walls. During the last month I swear I've re-read all the classics ever written, so I'm desperately looking for new material.

I'd prefer something long, and definitely no Mpregs nor extra children involved, whether adopted or surrogate. Not that I have a problem with any of those fics, they're just not my bag.

Really I'd like some BJ angst, because I sooo love angst ... angst, angst, angst. As long as it's got a happy ending, of course.

There must be something going on out there ... please?

Hello fellow QAF fic readers! I have a bit of a strange request but I'm hoping you can help!

I was a big fan of the QAF fandom "back in the day", but fell out of it for awhile and haven't really kept up with fics and the new-ish authors. I remember loving some amazing fics back in the day by authors like Allie-Quixotic, Raging Pixie, Bigboobedcanuck, Plumsuede, etc.

Obviously I can go through entries at BJfic, but I'm hoping those who have stayed more involved in the fandom over the past couple recent years can point me in the direction of some great newer fic/authors. Are there any fics that stand out to you in the last couple of years that are just absolutely WORTH THE READ that I shouldn't miss?

Hi!:) I was watching 215 episode and as always found myself getting angry at the way Brian behaved - pissed on Justin's work after everything it cost Justin. I understand why he did that, but still, I was wondering, are there stories where Justin realizes he's still hurt and confused? I've read fantastic Morpheus' gap-filler, but I'd love to read more:) Maybe someone could help?

I think very cute name is Gus from teddy Justin, so I wonder if there are stories where the teddy Justin is mentioned or even part of the story.
If Brian finds Justin child with her teddy bear would be even better.

I remember reading a fic once that takes place after the reunion sex in 3x08 and Brian/Justin can't stop touching each other. I seem to remember that they had trouble getting to the elevator on the building and to Corvette because they couldn't let go of each other.

Anyone have any ideas?

(Confession alert!) I'm having trouble finding the "right" post-series fic. I've started several that seemed quite promising at first but then later went off the reservation character-wise. It's a bummer to start a multi-chaptered fic only to have it wander off into the tangled wilderness of OoC land. I'm not particularly a fan of fluff (especially Fluffy!Brian) or nothing but sex-sex-sex 24/7. I'm looking for something gritty and real and angsty, and the longer, the better. I want something that is going to totally engross me and satisfy my bottomless need for The Feels.

An LJ-friend has just discovered the porny-goodness that is Queer as Folk. She's only seen the few couple of episodes so far, but plans to (slowly) watch the rest of the season. (She has to watch when Hubby isn't home as it isn't his thing.)

I'd love to rec her some really good fanfic, but she's requested that no one spoil her for the episodes she hasn't seen. So, please rec your S1 favorites, and if you could, indicate which epidsode/events the fanfic spoils (ex. "set after Justin runs away to NYC", or "spoilers through 107"). I'll pass them along to her with spoilers indicated by episode number.

(I tried to find a similar post but there is no such tag. The closest thing was somebody asking if some specific fanfics are in character and this is what actually gave me the idea to file such request.)

There are many fanfics out there - epic in proportions, well-written, with great plots. But I have to admit that many of them, even those considered must reads and classics - give me a feeling of OOC-ness. There's Brian - nice and affectionate in a schmoopy way, not afraid of commitment. There's Justin - pliant and a completely damsel in distress-like, letting others abuse and manipulate him. There's evil and plotting Michael that actively tries to break Justin and Brian up... No matter that according to canon!Brian, there's nothing to break up. There's even more evil Ethan, Mel and Lindsay being such bad mothers that their children have to be taken away and even though all of those plots are fun to play with, they're not very much true to the characters from the show.

So I was thinking about compiling a list of stories and authors, that could be considered QAF purists when it comes to characterization. No matter if it's a gap-filler, or an AU story, I just need something to sooth my QAF withdrawal, something that will really feel like the show.

I trust your judgement, even though I'm aware that people can feel very differently about some stories. It doesn't matter, I still want your opinion! (After a while, I'll compile your recs into a nice list and put it in this post, under the cut).

Hello everyone! I have gone through my files, and below are fics that I found. Some of them I have no author name, and I haven’t really read most of them. I went through the 4shared folder, but it’s kind of hard to figure out if the stories are there or not since I don’t know the author’s name.

If you know the name of the author of a story, please let me know so that I add it. Also … do I need to upload all of these to the 4shared account or are they all pretty much in there?? I saw Cyn and Rizabeau are in there, and I think Sadra Gia’s stories are as well, but I don’t know about the rest. And, is Besame BJ and Mickiebg sharing their stories like this?? I never posted them through the MU account because someone told me they didn’t do this, but I’m double checking again. At any rate, these are all the files that I found while going through the old e-mails from last year.
