Hi all! I am looking for some recs for some good/well-written (I've read some pretty awful, OOC, over-dramatic ones) Brian and Justin breakup fics. Fics where they break up for one reason or another and while there may be some angst, the ending is positive/amicable and they both are able to move on and be happy.

(As an aside, if there are any where they breakup and reconsile, that's fine too, and I wouldn't mind those recs at all!)

I just stumbled over a series of AU fics that were quite neatly done, overall - Celebrity, Gossip and Vanity Fair - and really enjoyed them. I'm a sucker for mixed-media!

Were any others ever done in that style (by anyone, with newspaper articles/clippings/etc), or in that universe?

Hi all -

Looking for something I thought I'd bookmarked. It shows Justin's birthday over several years and the different ways Brian behaves. I think one year Justin blackmailed him into being the perfect boyfriend all day, then another Brian ignored him so he went to a lesbian bar??

I remember it being great. Love to find this specific fic but others with similar structures are also welcome. Thanks in advance!

There was a Christmas (or Thanksgiving?) challenge early on, which had stories including the following:

1. (I think this was one of the stories) Vic is dead and hangs around Brian's loft.

2. Brian and Michael are stuck in the cooler at a grocery store after the store closes.

3. Brian and Justin's grocery list "On The Fridge."

Hi everybody!

I'm looking for an amnesia fic. I don't remember much, except it was a WIP, on Livejournal. Brian lost his memories and didn't recognize Justin. It was really well written and angst. I've been looking in the memories but I don't find it. It's not Made to be broken, Reason to believe or the amazing Dark road or Love of his life.

I just read "Love Spins Gold From Time" ( http://queereyes.net/lsgft.html ) and in it there's a bit where Brian is in a meeting and would touch the bruise Justin left on his wrist duringsex and Justin woul look at the marks Brian left on his neck.

So, I'm looking for fic that has something similar in them, wherein Justin and / or Brian give the other visible marks / hickies etc and they can't help but touch the marks on themselves or on each other, or where they see the other person's marks and it turns them on / makes them possessive and so on. I hope I'm making some sort of sense.

Also, are there any fics where Brian isn't the rich one but Justin is? Where Brian is working for Justin's family etc?

I'm not sure if this is allowed (if not, mod's please feel free to delete this bit). I'm trying to find videos of the QAF Paley festival, which I think took place in 2002. I've seen a couple of pictures that were titled "Paley festival" and it got me wanting to see/download the videos.

1 - Isn't there a fic out there - it's short, I think - in which Justin borrows or needs a cup of sugar or something for a cake? I'm not going insane, really... it's out there! I realize it's a somewhat vague reference though, sorry.

2 - And there's another one that's basically a shopping list - kind of a written conversation between Justin and Brian - the author must've scanned it. It's hilarious.

I think both are on BJFIC, but I can't remember the author(s)/titles! Pfft!

Hi, I'm looking for a fic that was possibly a five times fic - five scenarios that had never actually happened. I remember one of them was that Brian was an alcoholic and Justin realized it but no one else believed him when he told them about it. This kind of makes everyone else seem dickish but I don't think it was a character bashing fic, although honestly, I don't even remember the rest of the story, but it wasn't very long (it isn't the multi-chapter fic where Brian's an alcoholic, written by suzvoy). This is really vague, but I hope it strikes a chord with someone. Thank you.

I was hoping to get some recommendations. I am looking for some fics that are more Brian introspective or that deal more with how Brian's life was affected by the childhood he had (aka the emotional barriers etc). I really loved Reverbarations because it showed Justin really understanding Brian. Sorry the post is so vague, if it's not right tell me and I'll delete it :)

I'm looking for long stories where Justin, Brian, et al are as close to canon character-wise as possible.

I know we all have our own standards about what qualifies as IC and what crosses into OOC--but I think most of us can tell the difference between actual canon and fanon we happen to ascribe to. For example, stories where Michael is pure evil and involved in a plot to kill Justin are fun, but definitely not canon. And, Brian and Justin being all sappy, more than once in a blue moon, kind of stretches the bounds of canon--even if it does make a really cute story. Basically, we're talking the difference between things you could picture happening in the show if it'd been renewed or they'd gone a different direction in an early season and things you might wish for but would never ever have happened in a million years.

Two examples I can think of are Xie & Suzvoy's fics. Are there any other authors or particular stories you'd recommend in the same vein?

I'm looking for a post 513 fic, Justin can't remember anything, it's Christmas, and Brian, Gus and their daughter (I don't remember her name) go to the loft, trying to help Justin to remember. I know it's a part in a post 513 series, but I don't find it!

And Brian and Justin are in Italy, I think, and Justin returns to the hotel room from somewhere, and Brian's standing there, glazed-eyed, next to this teetering pile of purchases that's described like a monument to consumerism.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?
