There was a Christmas (or Thanksgiving?) challenge early on, which had stories including the following:

1. (I think this was one of the stories) Vic is dead and hangs around Brian's loft.

2. Brian and Michael are stuck in the cooler at a grocery store after the store closes.

3. Brian and Justin's grocery list "On The Fridge."

4. And a whole bunch of other stories.

I want to say thank you to the Queer as Folk fandom for coming forward and helping to raise $2,362 by participating in the [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti multi-fandom auction for Haiti relief.

Also, I want to thank [livejournal.com profile] teatotaller who helped compile the list as more folks added their offerings, as well as [livejournal.com profile] vlredreign and [livejournal.com profile] court1429 who have bent the rules here at [livejournal.com profile] getithere. All in all, it is probably to their advantage, because you just know sometime in six to eight months someone is going to ask about that fic written as part of the [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti auction, and they’ll have to tag it anyway!

Drumroll, please… and the winners are… )
Thanks for all the folks that bid and all of those who gave. And if you’re thinking that some of this stuff got away dirt cheap, the mods over at [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti are reported to have something up their sleeves in time for Valentine's day.

Regardless of whether or not you bid or whether or not you won, please help the many organizations that are out there trying to help the Haitian people survive this crisis. Below are just a fraction of the many organizations doing work:

The American Red Cross first aid, camps, water
The Red Cresent relief supplies
Oxfam International water and shelter supplies
Doctors Without Borders medical treatment and services
Church World Service children, the disabled, expediting medical supplies
Unicef support for unaccompanied children
Portlight Strategies serving the disabled and underserved
CARE distributing food and water
Help Haiti's LiveJournal team fundraising page at UNICEF they have surpassed their goal of $5,000 thanks to everyone who has participated; more is always welcome.

And there are many more organizations looking to do business at Haiti. They deserve our support as they head to a country that is desperately in need of aid.

Thank you so much for all your participation!

Hi Everyone

I saw that a Masterlist of QAF fandom items & fics that are being auctioned off in the help Haiti community is here. I have checked the profile page, tags, memories, and the side bar and can not find the one that is the masterlist. Could you direct me to it please. I am sure I have overlooked it. I would like to see what is being auctioned from QAF.

Thanks
Pat

ETA: The link for the Masterlist, is now the first link on the sidebar. You can also find the info in the tags and Memories too.

Thanks you mods for all your hard work. You guys ROCK!!!! Hugs Pat

I hope that the mods will allow this.

I would like to pimp [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti. This community is raising money to help the relief efforts in Haiti by auctioning off fanfic, graphics, vids, art, audio, other and more stuff.

In particular, there are some writers who had stopped writing for the QAF fandom who are willing to come back and write QAF fanfic, and/or finish unfinished works. So if you have been pining for something in particular, I urge you to peruse the posts at [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti.

It's a sweet deal, you get then last chapter for that abandoned WIP and money is raised for a good cause.

Note: the auctions are not exclusive to QAF related items.

ETA: the mods of the [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti community have put together master lists by fandom to make things easier for folks:
http://community.livejournal.com/help_haiti/5173.html

However, people who offer "any" are not in the listings - so you may find some in the comments here - folks we know are QAF people (or at least they use our icons! ;^)

ETA 2: More folks are adding to [livejournal.com profile] help_haiti every day. Look in the comments to see who's up to what, and what has been added.
