I'm looking for any stories in which B/J raise special needs childeren. In particular deaf, blind or wheelchairbound. Either adopting while knowing they have special needs or unexpected through an accident or at birth (surrogacy or mpreg). I know (and enjoyed) "For the love of Kai" with Justin's autistic little brother and the story where Justin adopted childeren with HIV.

I'm looking for a story where the kids speculate about the relationship between B/J.They notice that Justin is always sleeping and try and put two and two together thinking he has HIV. I can't remember what else is in this story hopefully someone can remember it for me. I checked the HIV tags ,Justin illness and Gus hates Justin tags but couldn't find it. I remember the story had drawn pictures of the kids.

There is a very, very small snipped of a fic I recall. I just can't find the story it belongs to. I think there had been some dispute over custody of Gus. The only scene I remember is of Brian sitting by the pool or in the back yard, at Britin I believe, smoking pot. Debbie comes in and starts to go off on him about smoking up around Gus. Brian shuts her down angrily. There is a lot of tension between the two.

I hate that I can't remember more, but does anyone recall this scene or something close? Thanks

I read a fic where Justin went in another city after being trown off the Kinney cliff, Philadelphia or Chicago probably, and became successfull.
He became ill with something serious, may be to the bones or nerves, and Emmet knew about it and visited often, but Brian doesn't but I seem to recall it's because he never asked.......
I'm sute that when you tell me the title I'll be like...OMG I KNEW IT.... but right now I absolutely need your help

I've been searching through my fic folder & bookmarks for this story, but alas, to no avail... From what I remember, the story is AU after season 3 or 4. Justin designs a ring for Brian and surprises him with a proposal. Brian being Brian, freaks out and either cheats or throws Justin out or does something ridiculous to make Justin leave - my memory is a little fuzzy on the details. The eventually reunite, yada, yada, yada... Any help would be ever so much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Yooooooo. Yeah, my semi-annual rewatch of QaF (although not on Netflix anymore because they changed the soundtrack and how about noooooope) has made me remember all the fics I used to love and I want to read them, but unfortunately a lot of them I seem to have lost track of. :( There's one I really want to read, it was a "season 6" and I think there was also a 'season 7' by the same author, with Justin in NY and successful and all that. The one thing I really remember was that all the 'gang' was at a club, either in NY or Pittsburgh, where some guy drugs Justin because some other guy paid him to do it or something? And Justin is in the bathroom throwing up? And Daphne comes to get Brian, and they go to the hospital and all that?? I looked through the applicable tags but couldn't find it, so I've come to you. Anyone know what fic I'm talking about here? Thanks in advance! :D

Edit: Oh wow nevermind, I actually just found it. :P It's cleverdevil_51's 'Season Six'; Also, I was checking the tags, and are cleverdevil and cleverdevil_51 the same person? Just curious, because I would assume so but there are two separate tags.

My account is new in LJ and I just found this amazing community. I found several stories that had long since lost and could not find them again, but thanks to the fabulous members of GIH, I ended up finding the way for them.
I would like your help to find a story I read some time ago and would like to review it. Brian has a twin brother named Alex who ends up associating with Justin. I do not remember much, it has a long time I read it, but Alex is much milder than this makes Brian and Justin's feelings a little confused about the two. Alex also has two children, a boy and a baby girl and he returns to Pittsburgh after the death of his partner due to complications caused by AIDS. Anyone have any ideas?

I believe the story is told in alternating POVs. Justin goes to L.A. and during his stay has a drunken bareback encounter (maybe he finds out the guy is positive? I can't remember). He doesn't want to tell Brian about it, but when he comes back to Pittsburgh and won't have sex with Brian, Brian thinks he's cheating again and gets upset. I think that in the end, Justin tells him what happened. He gets tested and doesn't have HIV. I read it over at Archive of Our Own. I can't remember if it's a recent story or not. It was super well-written.

Hi guys, I am reading "Great and Unfortunate Things," The story where at the beginning Mel and Linds are in a car accident with the kids and Mel dies and Lindsey becomes paralyzed. I read a story a long time ago, very similar beginning where the girls were in an accident but in that one they both died. Justin was there as soon as he heard and then moved back home with Brian to Britin to help raise Gus and I think even JR. It was a brilliant story and would love to read it again. I need a good cry right now and that one always got me to shed a few tears.

One has been found in the comments but I am not sure if that is the one I was thinking of. it was long and beautifully written. I have combed the Dead!Lesbians tag and didn't seem to find it. All I can really remember is that the story was long, so long that Gus grew up by several years I believe. They were living in Britin, Justin was still painting, they kept the loft, hmm, I don't know. I might be mixing several stories as well.

EDIT: One story found, It could be the story i was looking for, i'm not sure but it was an amazing read anyway. Thanks guys and gals! Have A Gay Day!

Hi everyone! Lovely evening! Any-who...I am looking for a story where Justin has adopted a bunch of HIV+ kids and Brian and him are raising them in Britian together and more and more keep showing up, it was a long story and absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. I remember something about a social worker showing up while Justin was at his studio I think and Brian was home with the little ones because they were sick maybe and she had an infant little girl and Brian called Justin basically saying "Aww shes so cute and tiny and pink, can we keep her? Can we keep her? Oh please!'

So if someone could help me find that I would be eternally grateful!

Also, I tried to find a tag to see if there was one for Betas and there probably is one but I couldn't find it. I currently have like ten stories in progress of being finished, just started and all the in between works. I was looking to see if anyone would be willing to be a sound board because I get stuck sometimes and need someone to just babble at to see if I am heading in the right direction or am going completely off the grid. Well, and then there is the issue with my grammar and punctuation, I pretty much suck at both and need someone to do a few little look overs to help me not look like a bigger idiot when I post them. I hope asking for a Beta and or sounding board was okay here. I really just need some help.

Are there only three parts to When It Sizzles by Morpheus? When I go to his/her Live Journal, I get that damn goat.

And did Morpheus write anything after When It Sizzles.

I can't believe I've never read Morpheus But am delighted to find another long series of stories. Can't wait to read them on vacation which starts August 3. Going to Vegas.

These fics were written by the same author. In Season 6 Brian and Justin are still together but living apart. Brian travels back and forth from Pitts to NYC, the girls are back in US and live next door to B&J in NYC , in side by side townhouses. So Brian drives back and forth with Jenny Rebecca, so Michael can see his daughter a few days a week. Emmett is back with Drew. Drew injures his knee/leg during a game in Texas which the whole gang go to see, and has to quit football. Brian develops some kind of stomach ulcer or cancer. Gus has questions about religion.

Hi.

I haven't read any Queer as Folk stories in like over a year and would like to get back to reading some.

I'm just looking for any sort of rec of stories where Justin is hurt (injured, illness, etc) and Brian is protective over him. Anything is welcome from like I said injured or illness, from something major to something minor. Also, any sort of Mpreg stories would be great. I'd rather had stories that are already complete or are WIP only if they are still being updated.

I've searched everwhere (or it feels that way) for this fic and I can't find it.
Justin is living in New York. Gus lives with Brian. Brian got aids/hiv when he did heroin with an already used needle. Justin comes back to the Pitts after Deb have died (at least I think it was Deb.) Justin mets Gus in the graveyard. And one thing turns to another and Justin ends up convincing Brian to get the treatment for the cancerhe has, that is related to the aids. And Brian gets better, I think there is two endings, one where Brian dies and the other he lives.
Does any one know what story I'm talking about?
