Umm... I'm so not sure of this one, but it's been running around in my head for the last couple of days. Either I have a totally QaF obsessed imagination, or I actualy read a fic in which Brian is in jail (or perhaps rehab) and meets with his parents and a priest (perhaps Fr. Tom) in a trailer on a visitation day. I think Joan brought dinner for them. That's all I recall and I don't think it was Medium Security by Gaedhal.

I hope one of your encyclopedic minds can help me!

I'm looking for a fic where - if i'm not mistaken - Brian asked Lindsay to look for a job . Then Lindsay came to Kinnetik and asked Brian to accept her to work at the art department at Kinnetik . Brian rejected her directly and honestly - saying that she didn't have much talent and etc etc .

A few fandom friends and I are compiling lists for a QAF fan Awards event and I was wondering if I could get recommendations from you all.

1. The first would be Major Character Studies. This would focus mainly on one major character in the QAF world (Ben, Brian, Justin, Debbie, Michael, Lindsay, Mel, Emmett, Ted, and Vic.) It would need to focus on their growth, personality, etc. It can take place before, during, or after the show.

2. The second is for secondary and "extra" characters. Same deal but I'm looking for stories that focus on the characters that we don't see as much of like Jennifer, Molly, Daphne, Carl (even though he takes a bigger role later on), Craig, Joan, Jack, Mysterious Marilyn, Todd, one of Brian's tricks. It doesn't matter really. Any secondary or extra character.

Hello! I'd really appreciate help in tracking these three fics down:

1) Brian was adopted in a rather shady manner. His birth parents were only 13 or so when he was born. Justin tracks down the birth mother, who lives close to Britin, and goes with Jen to make sure the woman isn't a homophobe. Brian then meets his huge extended family. I think the first time he sees him Justin is outside a club maybe and Justin is with a friend (Daphne?). Hi. It's a very common story. Joan goes to brian and they have a fight or something. Then joan visits Justin at the art gallery and he is so stunt that he doesn't know what to do. When he tells brian about it her gets really angry with Justin. I check all the Joan tag.

I'm looking for a story, I think it's called Concrete Angel. Justin writes a story about an abused child as a song for a school assignment and Daphne sings it. Brian hears it and realizes that it is about him and uses it for a PSA about child abuse. I can't remember who wrote it. Please help.

1) I read a fic some time ago where Brian and Justin were in court and I think they were suing the girls for custody or something and Joan testifies against Brian and makes references to Justin, I believe. Sorry that's about all I can remember from the fic.

2) Are there any fics where Brian and Mel have been friends since college and gives birth to Gus, Lindsay's the one who doesn't care for Brian or Justin. And who only cares about how much money she can get out of Brian even though he still has his rights to Gus.

Hi guys,
I tried really hard to search for this story in the tags but couldn't find it anywhere. In the story Joan has a stroke and Brian takes her in, Justin is the physical therapist that comes to help her with rehabilitation. Joan is nice in the fic and schemes (I think with gus) to get Brian and Justin together.

Just remembered the fic this morning and really want to read it now, hope someone can help me :)

Looked under "Craig" tag and didn't see a "Justin abused" or "Justin abused by Craig" tag.

Justin and Brian get close but something happens, can't remember what. Justin ends up getting a job as a manny/tutor for a rich gay couple and they live on a boat for awhile. He keeps in touch with Jack and Joan.

Been searching tags and can't find a story I read before. All I remember is Jennifer is neighbors with the Kinney's. She is killed in an accident and Justin is adopted by the Kinney's. When Brian leaves for job or school Jack starts beating Justin. Brian returns when Jack dies. Justin becomes friends with Michael and the gang. Please help, I've been searching for days.

Long time ago I read a story (absolutely no idea what or by whom) and in part of the story Daphne has gotten in with a rich crowd, I think through marriage. She runs into Justin (in a New York club or restaurant, I believe) and either refuses to acknowledge him or otherwise insults him because she doesn't want her friends to know she was his friend. That's really all I have to go on, and I've looked through the tags but find nothing that seems to fit. Any suggestions?

Looking for a fic where justin is having trouble with his hand at PIFA. Brian and justin are together. Justin is having trouble in one of his classes because the professor wont let him use his computer for his work. So he has to do his work by hand. Later on in the fic justin gets the opportunity to work for a famous artist. I think brian is slightly jealous in the fic.

There was this fic I read not too long ago about Joan walking down the street (I think she might've just bought a new bible) & she wasn't paying attention to where she was going. She stepped out onto the road and a speeding car almost hit her. Someone yanked her out of the way just in time. The car didn't stop. Joan was in shock & she heard her savior calling her name, asking if she was okay. She turned to look at the person who saved her and it was Justin. Joan, still in shock, thought there was something familiar about him. Clutching to her religion in such a traumatizing time, she thought of Justin (in all his angel-like gorgeous good looks) as the angels she'd seen depicted in church all her life. She was amazed that Justin knew her name and thought this was because he was a messenger of God. When Justin introduced himself & reminded her of when she'd seen him in the loft, she came down from her shock & immediately became disgusted. She was ranting & raving about how all gays go to hell when Justin interrupted & asked her if she'd like a cup of coffee - he'll buy. He took her to the diner. Deb almost had words with her but Justin managed to steer her away. Joan lost it a little, saying that all the diner's patrons were headed to hell for their sins, but Justin did his badass thing, told her to sit down and shut the fuck up. At some point, Justin offered to paint her a picture of the archangel Michael (or something that's related to God and angels; maybe it was a copy of a famous painting). Brian walked in, was incensed to see her, rebuked any of her attempts at a civil conversation, flaunted his relationship with Justin & basically ignored her. Joan left the diner thanking Justin for the future painting & thought to herself about praying for both Brian & Justin.

I loved that fic so much and though I remember practically all of it, I can't remember the author or where I found it. It's driving me crazy & I'd love, love, LOVE the opportunity to read it again.

If any of you have ever read this story, could you please help me?

Hi. Looking for a fic I read a long time ago.
I don't remember much. Just that Joan was called as a witness in court. I think she was there to speak in Mel's favour, rambling about Brian acting against god's whishes by beeing gay.
Mayby a custody fight about Gus?
I might be mixing up two fics.
