Some good B/J stuff, please

Hey girls (and boys?) :-)

I’m looking for some good stuff to read. Since I’m not so new to the fandom (but also kinda new) I know some fics already and going through the tags doesn’t help me, because I have to read the fics to know if they’re good, you know?

So…

I’m looking for angsty fics, I love some good angsty stuff! It should be B/J centered and not too much out of character (I do not want nicknames like “Baby” or Brian saying “I love you” every second line). I have no problem with AU’s and it doesn’t matter if it’s completely AU or starts somewhere during the original show. Please no WIP!

So, who knows some very good stuff for me? :-)

- Whore in a Hoody
- A lesson in loving
- The Weirdness

Hmm… I read a lot lot lot more but I don’t remember the names of the stories!!

I hope someone can give me some advice :-)

Many, Many Writers, So Little Time!

Hi There,

There's a couple of writers that come to mind that meet your particular criteria. These folks are the newer wave writers (not to dismiss the iconic works of the 'classics,' the wonderful writers from earlier years, see TAGS). Their work has come out in the last couple of years and I really believe that they deserve a nod of recognition.


I love Predec2's work. Her fics run the gamut - from warm, squee good to hair-raising tension. Good angst and a happy ending. She posts at Fanfiction.net, Midnight Whisper, and bjfic.com

Another favorite writer is Nightvision, she wrote several high, angsty fics with happy endings which are very enjoyable. She posts at FF and is now starting to post at MW. All her works are listed at

I think there's a bit of confusion regarding my LJ name.

I already saw your new fic... and even though it's not a WIP for you, for me it is one and I do not start WIP's anymore since it seems that writers seem to disappear. So I'm waiting until you're done with posting and then I'll read it.

Oh, if you feel like walking on the wild side and want to read a more user friendly version of Brian (he starts out snarky and then gets yummy romantic), you must read Conzieu. Yes, she throws in your dreaded 'I Love You's' and stuff, but it's so gooooooodddd.

So many new writers are popping up. It's just wonderful. Just when I thought the fandom was dying out and I would run out of fics to read, a new wave came in.

As I was enlightened last week by sakesushimaki, there has been a void in people being aware of some of the pervy, porny, fucking amazing, hottest, erotica BJFic out there. Unfortunately, triciaqaf ceased writing a couple of years ago, but we are lucky because she hasn't taken down her journal. You need a cold shower when you finish one of her fics - and she is absolutely evil about finishing chapters on cliff hanger. All of her work is completed. She has both fic and RPS. Some of her writing has Dominance and light bondage - but it is EXTREMELY sexy and not creepy (or overly serious - i.e. it isn't a "lifestyle" for the boys, just a teasing game).

If you don't have to work have a week or two to kill you can read Rizabeau's fic. I made the mistake of starting This Happy Feeling, figuring I'd get to a chapter break - but she doesn't write chapters. It is one hell of a monster fic - as are many of her fics. Her Songs in the Key of Love: Signed, Sealed, Delivered trilogy are heartbreakingly wonderful. Rest assured, for all the angst, the boys always end up together. And for this one author I am willing to suspend disbelief and accept the very occasional "Baby" coming from Brian's mouth. Her cohort in crime is Hephaistion-Lo who writes more sexual stories - oddly enough I don't always find them to be sexy. But your mileage may vary - there are some very sexy stories amongst her fic, and others that just aren't.

Hephaistion-Lo and Rizabeau share a Yahoo! Group that Rizabeau communicates with readers intermittently, but regularly. PDF/Word versions of their stories can be found there.

Okay, who's next. Julia aka joolesbritin who can be found on Midnight Whispers and LJ. Perhaps, because it was one of the first fics I started reading when I joined the fandom, but her Happily Ever After is one of my favorites. And like Rizabeau's This Happy Feeling, when I want a good read, I find myself returning and reading it. She's taken a bit of an elbow in the ribs for her "I Dream of Justin Fic" (found only in her LJ these days) which inspired Xie's Justin in a Bottle crack!fic.

And going back to the beginning of this post, I simply adore most everything sakesushimaki writes - her current "How to Hitch a Breeder" is loads of fun, as is her "56th Most Common Name".

There's a whole host of good writers at the Moonshadow Tribe - I like Thyme for shorter multi-chapter fun reads.

Also Moonshadow Woman - who is the hostess of Midnightwhispers.ca has a huge catalog of fic - Dear Mr K is a fun read. She makes no bones about it, she writes schmoopy, sappy fic.

Oh, and if you haven't read Jane's fic - YOU MUST. You can find her fic under jane2005. She's an excellent writer and her satires are hysterically funny.

There are a ton more to mention, perhaps I'll do a second post when I have time and my battery isn't dying on my laptop.

It has it all. B&J together for over 20 yrs,,it tells the story of their lives, their family, their hopes & dreams, but most of all their never ending love for each other. OMG you will love it,,it will take you weeks, I wish I was you,,Big hugs Jxx

Minor death, yes... major death, not so much.

I read "Too deep for healing" and I loved it, it's one of my all time faves, but I stop reading before the epilogue.
I also read "Valediction (?)" and it's also a good fic, but was not so mine.

So I would say, no... not a major death fic.

Plus you've probably seen the posts for When Darkness Falls. It's a WIP, but I'm pretty sure she's not gonna disappear before it's done, so that's a must read if you like vampire!Brian and werewolf!Justin :)

I've been in the fandom since day one and you will not find anything better than this. She (bigboobedcanuck) lives in Toronto and watched a lot of QAF being filmed as well. Lots of stuff in this link, even filming reports. One of the best, if not the best fanfiction writers in the QAF fandom.
