Are there any post-513 fics that are must-read or classic. They can be AU (Justin meeting the gang after the bombing). I just finished watching Season 5 again and still wished they did a Season 6.

I don't know what you have read but Xie has written a brilliant series and so has Wren. Her Homecoming series is a WIP but is well worth following.

Xie is actually moving over to Insane Journal but it is worth setting up a free account there just to read her stories.
She has written a series called 'Only time' and the stories that make up this series are Plans, Decisions, Desires, Risks, Families, Beliefs and Directions (which is not yet finished). She is very much a Brian/Justin person.

In Your Opinion, do you think she will continue with this series? I see it has been about 14 1/2 months since her last update.

Yes, I am sure that she will. She's had a difficult time recently but she has been talking about the final story. She's a very determined woman and I can't see her giving up.

plumsuede's Framed and Beyond the Yellow Brick Road are also must reads. BYBR is still a WIP, but it's 40+ chapters in, and they are LONG chapters, so you won't be bored. Read Framed first.

This might seem odd, but when rec'ing mpreg, you should warn the person. Just as a courtesy, the same way you would BDSM or graphic violence fics.

The request welcomed AU. Get over your mpreg bias. The fic has clear extra tags in the intro—that's as "courteous" as it gets. I broke no rules.

Btw, the chapter in the link I posted has zero mpreg. The tag is for future chapters, and, even then, I don't write graphic mpreg.

Now I get why so many people can't stand this comm—your approach comes off pretentiously "nitpicky". Don't message me, but feel free to ban me if you like. QAF lives on through us all.

Okay, I'm gonna guess that since you say you're new to posting to LJ, you don't know what I'm saying. So I'll explain it again.

When people rec fics in this comm, and the poster doesn't ask specifically for mpreg, fandom courtest is that you warn for it.

I am not close-minded about mpreg. In fact, I've read several. Just not in this fandom. But lots of people do. But usually, they ask for it. If they don't, and you rec it, let them know what you're rec'ing.

Bullying...you know, I really, REALLY take offense to that. People are bullied everyday for things, and this isn't even CLOSE to bullying. You didn't like it that I asked you to warn. That's not bullying. NOTHING I said to you even comes close to that. False authority? What is that even? I don't even know how to address that.

I'm not milking this, as you call it. I don't have to. There was nothing wrong with what I said, and I find it very suspicious that you jumped on this in the manner that you did. Sounds almost familiar, in fact. No matter. I think that I've been as polite as I possibly could, even while being called a "bully" and that I'm "rough around the edges". that's fine. I'm blunt, I'll admit. I don't have the time or the patience to be anything else.

I’m not a mod but am a long time member of this comm. This is my sand box and I still play in it every once in a while. So I have issues when someone comes into my sand box and shits in it.

The point of the matter is the mod made a simple request of COURTESY – to warn of mpreg. She would have made the same request of BDSM/rape/violence etc. Telling the mod of the comm that you have visited to “Get over your mpreg bias” is equivalent to shitting in her sand box and telling her “Get over it”. Now who’s the bully?

Here’s the thing. First you say you are someone who is “VERY new” to LJ and hence to this comm. In the next breath you say “so many people can’t stand this comm.” So like a petulant child who sees a new toy but is told she can’t have it and she whines “It stinks anyway”.

The mod doesn’t need to make anyone a bad guy. There are NO bad guys. These comms are made up of people who play nice in the community sand box and then there are the petulant children who feel an entitlement that they don’t have – that everyone in the sand box needs to play by their rules and give them attention. In the real world, these children get time outs and are made to sit in the corner.

From someone ‘old’ in this community and fandom to someone VERY new: PLAY NICE! These comms are all about “TEH LOVE” the QAF family is all about love and acceptance.

For a comm that we have always bragged about being wank-free, welcoming, friendly, and an awesome place to hang out in, we have sure had a fucking rash of shit-stirring in the past few weeks and, quite frankly, you're adding to a glut that nobody wants to see repeated.

I find it very curious that you immediately attack another community member (mod or not) for passing along a hint about it being helpful to warn for certain topics, whether mpreg or rape or whatever as a consideration for your fellow members, and then head right into "Now I get why so many people can't stand this comm." As I said above: shit-stirring.

It's also curious that you self-righteously proclaim yourself a defender who calls out discrimination when in your LJ post from December of last year, you refer to your boss' husband as a "real retard" for not "doing as I say." Perhaps you might tidy up your own house before criticizing others.

And c'mon, get real. You can't really balance a *preference* to know if a fic is about a topic you don't want to read (or that might be triggering) with discrimination. That's just ridiculous.

And I will remind you that, as stated in the Rules, there is no bias in this community against searching for or recommending mpreg fics or any other genre. ALL searches and recommendations are welcome.
