I’m not a mod but am a long time member of this comm. This is my sand box and I still play in it every once in a while. So I have issues when someone comes into my sand box and shits in it.
The point of the matter is the mod made a simple request of COURTESY – to warn of mpreg. She would have made the same request of BDSM/rape/violence etc. Telling the mod of the comm that you have visited to “Get over your mpreg bias” is equivalent to shitting in her sand box and telling her “Get over it”. Now who’s the bully?
Here’s the thing. First you say you are someone who is “VERY new” to LJ and hence to this comm. In the next breath you say “so many people can’t stand this comm.” So like a petulant child who sees a new toy but is told she can’t have it and she whines “It stinks anyway”.
The mod doesn’t need to make anyone a bad guy. There are NO bad guys. These comms are made up of people who play nice in the community sand box and then there are the petulant children who feel an entitlement that they don’t have – that everyone in the sand box needs to play by their rules and give them attention. In the real world, these children get time outs and are made to sit in the corner.
From someone ‘old’ in this community and fandom to someone VERY new: PLAY NICE! These comms are all about “TEH LOVE” the QAF family is all about love and acceptance.
