birthday gift misunderstanding

Hi,

I checked all the entries in b/j own or care for pets and the birthday tags and couldn't find the fic (or maybe found but didn't realise) hope you can help me :)

In this one Brian still hires the hustler for Justin's birthday but Justin is late so hustler leaves and Brian falls asleep waiting for Justin.
And there is a cat! I don't remember how but there must've been a discussion about a cat. I think Justin found a cat and Brian wanted to take it to a shelter or Justin thinks cat is already gone but cat was still in the loft for some reason and when Brian falls asleep with cat on his chest, Justin arrives and thinks cat is his present. He never knows about the hustler and everything works out fine.

I don't remember if it was a one shot or part of a longer story/series.

PS I tried to add b/j own or care for pets, holiday: birthday tags but it gives the error "not allowed to add tags. Can't create new tags in this journal."
But these are existing tags. I'll try editing after posting.

Brian/Justin/Ben - FOUND but still looking for more recommendations...

I'm looking for a Brian/Justin/Ben story. There is one in particular that I vaguely remember - emphasis on 'vague'. I think there might have been a threesome filmed between the three of them, with Ben's new photographer/filmmaker boyfriend (after he split up with Michael for some reason). Michael accidentally saw it and was very put out that Brian would betray him by fucking his ex-bf.

I also wouldn't mind reading any Brian/Justin/Ben stories, whether they're just gratuitous smut or if there's a deeper storyline. I particularly enjoy Ben/Justin stories - whether it's platonic friendship or more - but there are so few and now I'm in the mood for a Brian/Justin/Ben story.

Looking for 2 Brian/Justin + friends oneshots

Hi,

The first fic I'm looking for the gang were all answering a questionnaire by a psychologist friend of Debbie's about how well they knew their partner. Everyone thought Brian & Justin would lose but they get the highest points out of everyone.

The 2nd fic I'm looking for, Michael picked up the wrong video from Brian's loft and realised when he got it home and played it for everyone that it was actually a home video of Brian & Justin's. Everyone kept watching and were shocked by Justin topping, obvious caring between them and no condom.

Looking for 2 specific food fics: 1) Brian sneaking midnight dessert; 2) Brian making awful dinner

Hey everyone! This is my first time posting a request, so please let me know if I'm not doing this correctly. I'm searching for 2 very specific fics dealing with food (I've recently cut out all refined sugar from my diet and am now obsessed with food -- not just eating it, but reading about it apparently -- lol). I searched the tags for food, dinner, dessert, etc. but I couldn't find any such tags (except for one where B/J went out to dinner or something, which is not what I'm looking for).

I'm ashamed to say the *only* thing I recall about each story is the food scene. Here are some more specifics:

1) Justin is lying in bed one night at the loft and hears Brian rustling around in the kitchen. He hears him open the fridge and can tell that Brian's sneaking bites of some sort of pudding or pudding pie. He gets up and sees Brian eating the pudding with just his fingers -- he didn't even get cutlery because he didn't want Justin to hear him. I think Justin confronts him and makes fun of him, then eats some pie with him. Then it probably leads to sex, but that's just an educated guess on my part.

2) The second story includes a scene where Brian decides to make dinner for Justin (I can't remember why). I'm pretty sure it's lasagna he tries to make, but he doesn't cook the noodles all the way and he doesn't fry up the beef first (ugh). I'm sure there are additional reasons as to why the lasagna tastes so terrible, but I don't remember them. Justin is surprised when he finds Brian cooking and tries to eat the meal but spits it out. That's all I've got!

I would be very grateful if anyone knows which fics I'm talking about! Hopefully I didn't hallucinate these scenes and they actually *do* exist somewhere in the fandom -- haha! Thanks in advance! :)

I just found Miss Miko's fanfic page and saw her qaf series.... i read the summary of each thing... can't help but see the name Xavier.. so what does this mean? is he like the ethan of QAF canon? Did Brian fuck/ fall in love with this guy? or was it justin? honestly... i don't like brian with another guy stories... well.. i liked Jane's Homecoming... it was lovely but really painful..... is this series of Miss Miko one too? I'm contemplating reading it next but i want to be prepared for the angst....... please help=D

Taped by discothequey and a general fic question

Does anyone have a copy of Taped by discothequey? It's the one that's written in the form of a transcribed video tape. I've found much of her work, but unfortunately, not this one.

On a semi-related note [mods, please delete/modify/have me do so if this is against the rules], I was wondering what the "rules" are concerning currently inactive fic authors and the rights to their work. Specifically, when she was still around, I read disco's Particles and what was posted of the abandoned sequel, and I fell in love with that world, particularly Gus and the baby. The other day, I found myself sitting down and writing, and I wrote half a one-shot about Gus in high school before I realized that I was writing disco's Gus, with his tenderheartedness, extreme heterosexuality, and his relationship with Brian. I just stopped because I felt like I was crossing a line. But I wanted to finish it though, so I thought I'd go back and modify his character, but then it felt less genuine because I realized that disco's Gus has become the canonical teenage Gus for me.

What's the general consensus about situations such as this? I'm speaking specifically concerning authors who are no longer writing and the worlds they have created. Are their worlds completely off-limits, or can others play with them? I don't mean literally going in and taking plots, finishing their unfinished stories, or writing fics from their 'verse, but gathering inspiration from what they've written and using it to write your own fic, ie: the Gus I've written in a story all my own is very similar personality-wise to discothequey's Gus. Also, what about borrowing themes (Brian and Justin have a baby or Brian gets amnesia or Justin is a hustler, etc.) At what level does inspiration become stealing?

Brian and Justin on video (or DVD, perhaps)

There were two fics on BJfic.net based on the same challenge/plot bunny.

One of the fics was done by I think Danny or Draccone - but I can't seem to locate it now.

One of the fics is that Justin borrows (or perhaps Michael had given the tape(s) to Justin) a videotape or a few videotapes. In one fic, Michael comes by the loft as Justin is leaving, in the second version, Justin is leaving as Michael arrives and tells him that the tape is in the VCR.

Anyway, in one fic, the gang is assembled at Michael and Ben's to watch the video - which is some superhero video (batman, superman, spiderman, etc).

Hunter puts the video in and one by one the various members of the gang (mel and linds included) watch as Brian and Justin as they fuck - perhaps Justin tops Brian, but I am unsure.

In one fic, Justin discovers that Michael picked up the wrong tape. In the other, Brian arrives at Michael and Ben's and picks up the tape, with some smart as remark to the group that shames them for watching.

In one fic Hunter makes some remark. In both fics, the gang is amazed at the tenderness between the two - I think Mel makes some remark like "he really does love him."

This is a follow up to a comment I posted in a previous post where someone asked about the gang walking in on Brian and Justin.

I know that Michael comes over to get a movie that Justin had borrowed maybe and he and the rest of the family were going to watch it. He takes a tape that is lying on Brian's VCR and takes it with him. It ends up being a sextape. Does anyone know what this is or where I can find it?

I am still fairly new to livejournal world so be gentle,I have a few stories that need to be found, or my gerbil may spontaneously combust!!!!!

videotape fics

Okay, so I was almost positive that it was fic by Draccone where she had three individual fics one of which was a fic that was very similar to Perception Evolution by Megs which was a fic based on a challenge by Missy.

Anyway, there were two video fics, neither of which I can seem to find.

The premise is that Michael goes by the loft to pick up a video from Justin - in the one I remember, Michael stops by to pick up a video and it ends taking the wrong tape. The one he gets is up a private tape that Justin and Brian had made together.

Michael takes it the tape back to his apartment where everyone but Justin and Brian are gathered to watch a movie together. It turns out to be the tape of Brian and Justin having sex, of course, they don't turn it off.

Any idea as to the other two fics might be?
