Looking for good active WiPs

Just like the subject line reads: I'm looking for good active WiPs. I love reading fics as they are being written!

Is anyone reading anything good at the moment. Preferably something that is being updated one a regular basis and where it at least seems like the author is gonna finish?

As long as the story is well written and has an interesting plot, I'm usually game. MPreg ain't my thing though... And I tend to get annoyed by anti-Mikey/Linds stories...

Timeless by Cynical is great. She has it posted on Midnight Whispers. This is an intense read, terrible things happen at the start.

I have a WIP going there as well that I try to update monthly...its called Holy S***. Its an Mpreg so be aware.

The few I read recently are complete now. However I am reading Spin and Fall by conzieu(sp?) and

besame_bj has a pretty long series that is updated every Sunday. However if you have not read the the stories before this one you'll have to catch up on those first.

I'm reading Spin and Fall as well. Great story and I love that Conzieu update so often.

Which series/story of besame_bj's is it that is being updated? Is it the Mirror verse? I know I started reading that one at some point and then I guess I must have gotten distracted or something cause I don't think I got very far...

I haven't found anything by Conzieu that I haven't liked, so I tend to read whatever is posted.

The latest is called Reckoning, which is part of the Mirror verse, an alternative sequel to Dream.

It's easy to get side tracked, it's part of the reason why I've been sticking with completed works, that way I don't have to try to remember what titles I'm reading at the moment. (I have a hard enough time remembering to watch my favorite TV shows when they air!)

Yes, I confess that I've gotten into the habit of posting a chapter a week on Sundays, lol! I've done it so often that everyone expects it! :)

I actually have a "something" for the Mirror-verse and a "something" that's totally new. And I'll be talking about it on, yep, Sunday!!!! *so predictable*

I'm picky too, but mainly about the stories being well written, not so much about content (MPreg and anti-Mikey/Linds stories being the exception). The MPreg is a matter of taste I guess and as most people will warn you, I think it's usually easy to avoid if it's not your thing. But the anti-Mikey/Linds stories are what really bugs me! I hate when I start reading a fic and then suddenly the Mikey/Linds bashing will start without any warning at all...

I started the Fantasy Season's and had to stop reading, it just seemed to way, way off canon. I read the first season and just had to stop reading it. I don't even remember why I stopped just knew I had to..it was a visceral reaction. Sunshine Files is wonderful and I love the way it just keeps going as everyone grows.

Do you remember there being a lot of angst? Were B/J with other or something that would totally break my heart?

I can handle all kinds of AU, as long as B/J are in love or working towards that goal...

I was looking forward to reading this one day once it was complete, but I don't want to if it's just going to tear me up or squick me out.

I can't remember any details really, but I feel like it just got really dark. I wouldn't tell anyone not to read something, it just didn't appeal to me once I got started. Wish I could tell you more.

I LOVE the Sunshine Files...Brian and Justin are together for a long time. There is some angst throughout but not anymore than people have in their own real lives.

Rory has quite a few WIPs she is working on, such as "For Richer or Poorer" and "Ardor". She is a really talented writer, although she doesn't really write in canon for the most part. You can find her stuff at

kiera81487 is writing a post-513 story called "Unexpectations". She classifies it as an mpreg, but the whole pregnancy thing happens before the story starts, so it's really a kid!fic with a whole lot of angst and Brian/other, jealous Justin, daddy!Brian stuff thrown in. I'm really enjoying it even though I generally dislike mpreg.

And last, you MUST check out

q_dicted's "Stronger". There is only one chapter so far and she is a notoriously and self-admitted slow writer, but she is probably one of the best writers I have encountered in any fandom... Her "Valediction" is without a doubt the best piece of fanfiction that I have ever read, so run, don't walk... (Be forewarned, though, if you're going to read "Valediction", please note that it is a death!fic.)

Hello! This is my first time posting, so I'm excited and hopeful that I'm doing this right! I just recently started an LJ where I summarize and critique my favorite QAF stories -- I've only completed 2 "reviews" so far, but I have a list of 65 (and continuing to grow) stories I've read, love, and intend to review (most of which are novel-length). These are all the WIPs from my list:

1) As others said, Predec2 has a lot of WIPs on the Midnight Whispers site and she's faithful about updating and finishing them (and a lot of great stories that have been finished). Off the top of my head, I can think of "My Heart's Desire", which focuses on some surprises regarding Brian's family (a sequel to "The Wedding Present") which can be found here: http://midnightwhispers.ca/viewstory.php?sid=1678 and "Paper Hearts Killer" where Brian is a cop (hot!) and Justin is a psychic which is here: http://midnightwhispers.ca/viewstory.php?sid=1685&warning=3

6) Again, as others stated, the "Mirror" verse by besame_bj -- amazing read, I will read anything besame_bj writes. And as others said, Conzieu's new "Spin and Fall" story which I actually just found out about a few days ago and have already fallen in love with. Her other stories (though not WIPs) are amazing as well.

7) "Broken Open" by Gina Marie is a great fic -- I know you said you didn't like stories that weren't well-written, so you may have issues with this story. She's a great writer with ideas/content, but she needs a beta. However, I wasn't distracted enough not to read/continue reading, so I'd really give it a chance (I love all of her stories). And that's all I've got on WIPs! A lot of WIPs I've been following lately have been wrapped up. There's a lot of really awful fanfic out there, but in this fandom there's also a lot of REALLY good stuff. There are some really talented authors in this fandom and though I've mentioned a few, there's a lot more who are really talented! Hope that helps though!

"A lot of WIPs I've been following lately have been wrapped up" - same thing for me, hence this post asking for some recs. I love reading along as stories are being written. And I love the anticipation!

I hopw you still want recs. I would like to rec two great stories. Well I think they but then again I wrote them.

The first is called Recovery. It takes place post Season Five. Brian and Justin are in a happy relationship when Brian is hit by a street sweeper while he is out walking with Michael. The story is very lengthy and newly finished. On the last five or so chapters I got a few mistakes because all of my typing was done on the Kindle cause I have no computer. I will warn you that there is a scene that seems like rape but if u take the time to finish you will see all is not what it seems and Brian Kinney was throwing someone off a cliff. I consider this story a WIP because from time to time I revisit the personas and do what I call Recovery Snapshots.

The next one i want to rec is my new thriller Secrets. I cant tell you much for it will give away the plot. Its a remake of season four after the chicken soup scene. We learn more about why it might have been so easy for Lindz to sleep with Sam. We also learn more about a past of Brian and Lindsay and there first child. There's lots of things that come out to strengthen Brian and Justin's relationship while added other unbelievable things like murder and mental illness.
