Having become annoyed at bjfic and midnight whispers for different reasons, I'm looking to branch out. Anyone worth reading at slashcity.com? QAF-US only, please.
ETA: well, not exactly what I was asking for, but some interesting comments on alternative archives and places to look for stories.

I've read a couple of Holly Ilex' fics and, if I'm remembering correctly, she uses a lot of British slang, which turns me right off a fic. There are a few non-American writers I read who aren't as careful as I'd like about that slip, but if you want me to overlook it, you best have a damn compelling plot!
