Having become annoyed at bjfic and midnight whispers for different reasons, I'm looking to branch out. Anyone worth reading at slashcity.com? QAF-US only, please.

ETA: well, not exactly what I was asking for, but some interesting comments on alternative archives and places to look for stories.

This is totally not what you asked for, but have you been to www.libertyavenue.net? THere's an archive there. Not too many writers there yet, but still...

Just out of curiosity and if you're not comfortable answering, that's ok, but what's the problem? If you want, PM me.

Some of Hollyilex's stuff is good, but be warned there are stories that have Brian and Justin apart for several years

However if you are looking for alternate sites where you can find good B/J stories I highly recommend Across the Pond and Moonshadow Tribe

http://qaf-fic.com/atp/

http://www.mags-nificent.com/MSW/QAF.htm

However, warnings for both sites are as follows. 99% of the stories I've come across on Across the Pond are all labeled as incomplete when in fact they actually are finished, so you don't know if they are finished or not going in.

Moonshadow Tribe has a similar problem in that many of the stories are marked as complete and some are not marked at all. Also I believe most stories on this site are complete, however there are one I know of that is still regularly updated, though you have to go to each story individually to find out where it stands as the site is split up by author and there is no recent updates page that I am aware of.

Please don't make these warnings keep you away. Both of these sites have some excellent complete stories. Of course you may already be aware of these sites and just didn't mention them in your post. If that's the case, maybe this post will help someone else checking out the comments on your post!

If you will be new to Moonshadow Tribe let me highly recommend Thyme. (This will mostly only be good for you if you enjoy AU B/J)

Unfortunetly, I know what you mean about MW. There is really only one story there that I LOVE that is being updated, and the author takes such care to make each chapter perfect that it seems she goes at least a week between each post. There seems to be a sad lack of extremely talented authors who are currently posting. Of course one does have to make allowances for RL, which we all know can easily get in the way. Though luckily, we still have LJ.

Completely unrelated to your question, but I wound up reading your "Commuter" story (I think on BJFic) on Saturday and lost two hours of my life because I was so wrapped up in it. SO GOOD!
