Recent "iconic" fics?

Hello fellow QAF fic readers! I have a bit of a strange request but I'm hoping you can help!

I was a big fan of the QAF fandom "back in the day", but fell out of it for awhile and haven't really kept up with fics and the new-ish authors. I remember loving some amazing fics back in the day by authors like Allie-Quixotic, Raging Pixie, Bigboobedcanuck, Plumsuede, etc.

Obviously I can go through entries at BJfic, but I'm hoping those who have stayed more involved in the fandom over the past couple recent years can point me in the direction of some great newer fic/authors. Are there any fics that stand out to you in the last couple of years that are just absolutely WORTH THE READ that I shouldn't miss?

Only B/J pairing please :)

If you haven't read Xie's stories you must. She is brilliant.

Anything by Confused_bliss over at fanfiction.net or at Midnight Whispers.

I went through this about a year ago when I got a case of nostalgia and decided to see what the QaF fandom had been up to. [livejournal.com profile] xie_xie_xie is one of the few decent authors still around after the show ended. She's slowed down a lot but still occasionally writes.

Since lj is pretty much dead these days, AO3 is a good source for newer fic. http://archiveofourown.org/tags/Queer%20as%20Folk%20(US)/works

Most talented new-ish authors I can think of:
[livejournal.com profile] q_dicted
[livejournal.com profile] ohmyjetsabel
[livejournal.com profile] kachelofen

Everything they have is good. (Just be aware of warnings... may be a death fic in there...)

Oh, and I don't think of [livejournal.com profile] england13 as new anymore, but I guess she might be to you! "Choices" is a must-read.

You won't want to miss anything by Julesmonster (https://www.fanfiction.net/u/968581/julesmonster)! (this is a ff.net link... you can find her fics on several sites but I think that one has all of her QAF fics.)

This is the author I credit with my own return to the QAF family just 2 years ago after I stumbled upon a "The Rainbow Inn Series" (http://archiveofourown.org/series/26244) (this is an AO3 link) while looking for a crossover in a completely different fandom. (It's the perfect series for lovers of QAF, NCIS, Bones and House!) But my favorites are: "A Time of Adversity" (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7773860/1/A-Time-of-Adversity), "Amnesia" (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6010636/1/Amnesia) and "Goodbye Hello" (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6878960/1/Goodbye-Hello) (and "With This Ring" and the "Perfidy" Series and "Boomerang"... seriously, it's all worth at least one read)

I'll second the above suggestions... especially for Wren, Xie, England13, Tagsit, Vamphile (check the sidebar to download the "Brother's Keeper Series" - very long, beautifully written and complete) and Q_Dicted (but only if you dig SERIOUS angst).

I'll also add Jane2005 (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=jane2005), Quinn (a series all linked together beginning with "Correspondence" (http://www.kinnetik.org/corr/) , Myrna (especially "Growing Up Kinney" (http://www.qafcaps.com/queereyes/fic/guk_01.html) and "If You Needed Me" (http://www.qafcaps.com/queereyes/fic/iynm_01.html), pretty much anything by Suzvoy (http://www.suzvoy.com/qaf/qaffic.html), Wrenlet's "Reaper Boy" (http://qafvault.com/ReaperBoy.htm) (warning: angst-fest), We_Dreamerz's "Resting Here With Me" (http://www.midnightwhispers.ca/viewstory.php?sid=478), NoChaser (http://www.midnightwhispers.ca/viewuser.php?uid=1149), Paeansong's "The Talisman Series" (http://www.midnightwhispers.ca/viewseries.php?seriesid=21) (though not really finished, it's long and wonderful) and GaleandRandy (http://www.midnightwhispers.ca/viewuser.php?uid=1413).

Umm... Can you tell I really dived back in to the deep end? Enjoy!! And don't forget the tags page here!!

Sandy

P.S. I noticed Rizabeau (http://qaf-fic.com/atp/viewuser.php?uid=348) was not mentioned but her(?) fics aren't really new... but missing them would be a tragedy!

A couple more that could be new to you and I adore:

[livejournal.com profile] sakesushimaki (especially "The 56th Most Common Name")
[livejournal.com profile] scoobygang8 (especially "The Boy From New York City," and the recently completed after a hiatus of several years squeeworthy "In Paris")

Severina's fics

have you ever been to Severina2001's LJ?

Here's the addy to her QAF memories page. There's tons of individual stories, and few nano's. Gold and Silver Shines is my favorite. There's also a couple of zombie stories (multiple chapters.)
