B/J a power couple?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you know fics where brian and justin are equal when it comes to their careers?

because the majority of the fics i've read have brian being all rich and successful already and justin's either a hustler, a student, a starving artist looking for a job or just some random joe. I mean even if it's canon, they always make justin just average. you know what I mean? haha anyway, I'm just looking for fics where maybe they're both already established in their careers and they're both already well known. I guess maybe it would have to be post 513, but AU's are okay too. Whatever you guys can give me is fine.

I also read one where they were described as being a power couple? so yeah, that's it. If you can help me find this 'power couple' fic and also fics that have them on equal footing, that would be awesome.

At the risk of pimping my own story, (which is exactly what I am doing) You might like my story Broken Open. Though Brian is a tad more successful in his profession, Justin is the stronger, more trained of the two.

I'm not sure how many chapters. You know me, I let the story take me where it wants to go. It's a tad different than the others, but it's been festering inside me so I had to get it out!

I love Quinn's Changes (http://www.kinnetik.org/changes/). It's the 2nd to last in a series of fics she wrote/photshopped. In this one, Brian moves Kinnetik to NYC. Justin is well on his way to being a big success as an artist, so they are definitely getting to the equal footing stage. Brian may still be the one with the big bigger bank account, but Justin's no "kept boy".

Moonbrightnites has a wonderful story called A Throw-Away World (http://moonbrightnites.livejournal.com/10158.html). Justin's a blue collar worker, and well, Brian has more money and everything, but Justin is doing well himself. It's truly worth to read.

NoChaser's story Be All That You Can Be (http://www.midnightwhispers.ca/viewstory.php?sid=2357&warning=3) is also wonderful. Justin may not be as weatlhy as Brian, but he sure is independent and Brian's equal in every way. I recommend to read it, Justin's profession is really suprising.

In Julesmonster's story, Trust (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8165529/1/Trust), Justin is a rich young man from New York and he definitely is Brian's equal in every way.

Also Julesmonster's other story Boomerang (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6054657/1/Boomerang) Justin has established his career before he and Brian get to together.

I have no idea what actual fic the "power couple" thing is from, but it's familiar, and I'm 99% sure it's a post-513 where they've both moved to New York. You must've been really unlucky with picking your reading :D I'd say the opposite of your problem is true: Justin is usually a huge overnight success in NYC and three or five years post-513 he and Brian can share expenses 50/50.

Yes, Justin is blind in "Growing Up Kinney". "If you needed me" series is where he has a brain tumor and is in the hospital a lot. In "Growing Up Kinney" you find out that Justin is very successful as is Brian and they are each well known in their fields and what I would consider a power couple. I'm not sure if that term is actually used in it though.

allie_quixotic's How We Got Where We're Going is post-513, Gus is 18 and goes to live with Brian and Justin in NYC, Brian and Justin are well established. It's amazing, but be warned, it is angsty as hell. And worth it for that reason alone. You can find it in the GIH folders on the side.

If you're looking for power couple AUs, there's sapphire_3's Between the Crosses. It's a WWII AU and neither of them are initially uber-succeessful, but Justin is an acclaimed artist and Brian heads a corporation (I think).

I was just browsing Midnight Whispers, and came across a fic by snow, called Charades that has a 2nd part whose summary actually uses the words "their life as a power couple."
