I think I've read them all ...
I've been searching for a good 'in character' fic for a week now and I'm suffering from QAF-FanFictionWithdrawelSyndrome. I start reading fics and then conclude that they're too angsty (I can do angst, but not chapters and chapters long, I want my boys together and in love) or too OOC.
I've read them all, I guess but still I'd like to see if you can give me some recs that I might have overlooked.
Fic requirements:
- IN CHARACTER (one 'baby' from Brian and I'm gone)
- The boys must be together, breakups are fine but still, they have to end up together and I like to read about them together as well.
- Long fics are nice. (since it will keep me off the fanfictionstreets for a few days ;-) )
I think I've read the 'obvious' good ones like xie's, janet's, bdeviled's, chering/fansee's, etc. So I'm looking for the not-so-wellknown-but-really-well-written ones.
Of perhaps you know a way to find really good ones without having to read a lot of crap first (and I mean that in the most respectful way possible of course ;-) ).
Thanx! :)

Part II. (http://amelialourdes.livejournal.com/347122.html)
I've highlighed some stories but most of the authors I mention, it's just best to read everything! Oh and definitely no "baby" or out of character characterization. Okay, Rizabeau's stories have "baby" and a little, a smidge out of character but still unusually addictive. I think that's the only one I need to warn you about.

I just can't handle too much angst. I'm a baby like that. ;-)

I think that both of these authors do a good job of creating stories that focus not on "will Brian and Justin be together?" but more in the vein of Brian and Justin have to struggle together against outside forces.

Also, if you haven't read Bliss_ink's "Love Remains:" http://blissink.livejournal.com/tag/love+remains and "Saving a Life:" http://blissink.livejournal.com/tag/saving+a+life they're amazing and the angst isn't too much.
Two other good ones are London's "Waiting Out in the Cold" series: http://oz-expression.nu/qaflondon/ It's an AU from season 3 on. It's made up of ten stories with ten chapters each.
And "Emotional Rescue" by Kimberley: http://www.mags-nificent.com/MSW/KimF/Emotional.htm Brian comes hom from a business trip to the aftermath of Justin having been raped.
I'm pretty sure there aren't any scenes in any of those with Brian saying "Baby," but I can't promise, so if there's any "babys" in there I apologize in advance.
And here's my rec list (not baby-proofed though) but there's probably something on there for every taste: http://delicious.com/natalilaurin/
