WIPs

I seem to be lacking new things to read recently so I decided to look here for some recs. I've been following The Gus Diaries by Shadownyc, which if you don't know is a lovely WIP that everyone should read. I don't usually read WIP, because I have an irrational fear of stories that are abandoned. I sometimes make exceptions (when I have nothing to read) but I have a few guidelines: The WIP in question should be updated regularly, and the author should be reliable. And perhaps most important, I would like recs that you just LOVE. Thanks bunches in advance, and virtual chocolate-chip cookies to all, ~Jaime

UPDATE: There are so many wonderful recs in the comments... Thanks to everyone! Please keep the suggestions coming :)

I find it goes in spurts. One day I have nothing to read, the next there are a bunch of my favorite stories updated and waiting on my friends page.

Have you read
That Happy Feeling (http://qaf-fic.com/atp/viewstory.php?sid=8519&warning=NC-17) by rizabeau which is a classic?
Or
Love Remains (http://blissink.livejournal.com/tag/love+remains) by [livejournal.com profile] blissink which was recently finished?

Here's my favorites page which I recently started to populate so while it's not exhaustive it does have everything from a drabble to a novel in it:

Two of my favorite one-shots...

"Wedding Night" by Phobosgirl: http://qafvault.com/weddingnight.htm Brian and Justin's wedding night...sweet and sort of fluffy.

"The Bracelet" by Miss Mako: http://heelsoverhead.net/stories/bracelet.html Justin needs $1000, so he agrees to be Brian's slave for a month. (Very funny with a great punchline at the end.)

Check out Choices (http://england13.livejournal.com/tag/choices) by [livejournal.com profile] england13, it is wonderful. And every one of the WIP's by [livejournal.com profile] we_dreamerz will blow you away with how awesome they are. I also read just about everything that [livejournal.com profile] inner_justin writes and am never disappointed. There are tons more, but those are the ones when I think of WIP just spring to mind. Because like you I would rather find a completed story - preferably epic in scale.

shadow is dedicated to her fiction...and 'gus diaries' is one of the best WIP i have ever read. she treats our beloved characters with the greatest respect and weaves in bits of canon quite often. she updates often enough (sometimes weekly) to keep the story flowing and her readers begging for more.

one word - ENJOY! it's a jewel.
