I just re-read Cross-Reference by laciudad, and am currently working my way through the 'Best Friends' challenge on qaf_drabbles over at IJ...this has sparked my interest for certain types of fics, in which Brian and Justin are in a 'close,' platonic relationship (like the one towards the end of Cross-Reference). I'd like to read fics that deal with this type of friendship, and how it eventually leads to a more romantic relationship. Are there any similarly-themed fics out there?

I'm sure you've read it, but the best known one of these is Subject to Change (http://soundczech.livejournal.com/59991.html) by soundczech. It's an AU that imagines Brian did move to NYC after 121, and they meet up again later.

Bwah! I had it tied as my equal fave with another fic for a long time, but it just always leaves me with such an amazing feeling after I read it, I always go "best. fiv. ever!" And so.

But I have at least a top ten that I wouldn't want to go without.

Oh gosh, well in no particular order... I love Divergence by ragingpixie, definitely in my top 5. Teacher!fic, Pulse Point by Xie, Blue Monday by Vamp.

I have several links to some of my faves on the side of my journal, if you want to go over and have a look.

Also testdog65, jule1122 and many, many others have written some BRILLIANT fic over on IJ in the last year or so.

Sorry, I assumed her fics were in her LJ. She used to share a website with Myrna, but they took it down. Paddies archived it on her Queer Eyes site (are you familiar with it?
