I really want to read this story,I friended Buckeye5's lj and sent a pm asking for access. But there's a notification that her lj is inactive, so I'm afraid she won't answer me. So if anybody has a copy of this story, please please please send it to jollywhizzbee@mail.ru. Thank you!
Update: Buckeye5 opened access to her story, I'm enjoying it! Thank you Buckeye5:)

Date: 2012-06-25 01:24 pm (UTC)The first post on her LJ it says: By reading my locked stories, you agree not to share or distribute them in any form. And "Making a scene" is a locked story.
Sorry. I hope she will read your pm.

Date: 2012-06-25 04:31 pm (UTC)Through the years I've been reading stories in many fandoms and never encountered this level of protectiveness.
Sometimes certain stories are reced so many times so I get the desire to read them, but it can be too much trouble requesting, friending, approving... so I just think "Whatever, there are other good authors out there, I'll read something else."
Just wondering...

Date: 2012-06-25 05:36 pm (UTC)I no longer have locked fic besides RPS, which is a personal issue I have with posting it publicly.
At one time I locked my fiction mostly for my f-list's sake as many of them didn't want to see updates of a certain type of fic but wanted them for another so I didn't want their f-lists filled with posts they would ignore and subsequently ignore the ones they may have wanted to read.
Also I did want to be sure that those who were reading my fic were over 18 and did actually comment but rather quickly I came to realize that is pointless because not only do I rarely have time to get back to comments, but if a reader is inspired to comment I don't want to force it, it should come because of my story and to tell how many people are reading I just use a webcounter for each entry.
Oh, I think that maybe it also had something to do with LJ scaring everyone when the started deleting journals for having content that was XXX and not locked down?

Date: 2012-06-25 09:38 pm (UTC)I guess I understand locking RPS, but I always thought that writers want to reach more audience, so locking fics seems counterproductive.

Date: 2012-06-26 02:04 am (UTC)I have never understood the thinking behind the people who post such mean and vindictive comments, but they've turned off some very good writers.
