End of the world, and Crime!

Other fandoms have a lot of it, but I can't say I've ever read anything like it in QAF fanfiction - a nice (or not so nice!) apocalyptic, end of the world, battle for survival, zombies slash earthquake slash nuclear fallout fic where our favourite characters fight for survuval and conquer all, or not as the case may be.
Surely there is something along those lines, somewhere? I'm in a dark, apocalyptic mood. But I'm totally not against the thought of a happy ending, no matter how dire the circumstances may seem.

Also, another quick question... I remember once reading a fic where Brian had ties to the Irish Mafia, and hired a hitman to avenge some wrongdoing against Justin. I can't remember the name of the fic, but I think Ethan was involved and Justin was in trouble for something and went on the run to New Orleans (this rings a bell I think). I would like to know the specific fic, but what I'm really asking is if anyone knows of another fic where Brian does something illegal (and I don't just mean the ususal drugs). Ties to organised crime, premeditated beating someone to a pulp, even something more serious. I would be especially thrilled if the reasons were him being protective of our favourite little blond.
It just seems to fit, doesn't it? We all love him, but he doesn't exactly carry a halo with him, and - to use a British term - he is a bit dodgy, isn't he? It all just follows... in my mind, anyway.

P.S. I just peeked at your profile and I need to say helloooo, fellow philosophy student :D QAF fandom is a perfect place for philosophical ponderings. Such as: would Plato admit that the erotic appeal of B/J justifies caving to the desires of flesh at the drop of a hat, or would he deny the truth? Would he admit that it brings one's soul closer to its memories of true Being than platonic love does? Or even something more... philosophy-ish.

Also, we have suspiciously much in common, judging from your intro post. Don't think for a minute that I'm unaware of this elaborate ploy, even if I haven't figured it out yet :P

Speaking seriously, I find reading fanfic is my escape from trying to figure out if Anselm was as much of an idiot as he seems in his writings or if Cartesian Ontology is really a viable process... damn it, I don't care any more. I'm here for fun!
Thank you so much for the brilliant (and FAST!) response. I thought I had read the classics, I just think I've missed out on a lot of AUs and apocalypse stuff. Who knows why, I've always been a fan of fics that follow on from moments in canon and veer off from there.
Now I'm going to actually stalk you and check out your profile too. I'll let you know if I think it's uncanny too!
