Ok, so I just got done reading Remission by Simon. It was a good story. However, I suddenly feel the need to read something upbeat. Anything upbeat.
It doesn't have to be fluffy or sappy, just cheerful. But not crackfic, please.
Any help would be seriously appreciated.
Thanks!
Edit: I have a couple of super-fast recs in the comments, but any others would be appreciated.
Edit 2: This was not meant as a reccomendation. While meaning no offence to the author, this is a truly depressing story, made far, far worse by the personal connections and reality it involves. It is not a story I will ever re-read. If you do choose to read it, don't blame me when it upsets you.

Date: 2010-02-15 01:39 am (UTC)Trust me on this. It's a death fic, and the most depressing story in fandom.

Date: 2010-02-15 01:49 am (UTC)It's based on a true story about a cancer victim that, IIRC, Simon knew. Justin is substituted for the little girl, and it's a long story about him having cancer, going into remission, and eventually dying. It's really not a B/J story, just BJINO (Brian/Justin In Name Only).

Snoopy!Justin is love.

Date: 2010-02-15 03:00 am (UTC)I just can't read that story. It sucked the life out of me.
I waited 6 months for Paddies to make me this icon. It's been my default for 3 years.

Date: 2010-02-15 03:52 am (UTC)When I first come to fandom, I read pretty much anything I could get my hands on, except for mpreg. That belongs in the HP fandom only. Now, I stick to IC stories, and the occasional crack fic, eg Rizabeau, or Amish!Justin.

Date: 2010-02-15 05:45 am (UTC)Yeah, DON'T read that damn "other foot" series. It's... bah. Justin's my all time favorite ever, so noooooooo. Not that series. >:O
lol.
Also: Yessssssss Amish!Justin. I have the love. ;)
Edit: To be clear, I have never read the whole "Other Foot" series. But from what I have read of it: again, nooooo.
Edit 2: Ahhhhh new computer I can't type on yet. *headdesk*

Not reading the other fic, don't worry. I can't read B/other or J/other. I don't mind them having sex with others, so long as it's not a relationship.

Gag me with a spoon. I need to go read some candy for my brain.

Date: 2010-02-15 03:33 am (UTC)BTW, isn't it rather ironic to name something remission then have it be a death!fic?
