Better Friends and Lovers by Arwensong, is it a B/J or B/other fic in the end?

Hi, I just want to know if Better Friends and Lovers is a B/J fic or not in the end. I mean I'm not a big fan of Brian or Justin ending with other man. It's ok if they have a relationship with other man in the middle of the story but in the end it has to be Brian and Justin. Don't want to read it until I'm sure eventhough I like Arwensong's other story. Here's the link to the story if someone want to read it :

I have read the whole thing. B/J do not end up together but she makes it very believable as to why they don't. It's located at Moonshadow Tribe.

Hi,can you give me a summary or a spoiler about why they don't end up together. I mean what happened to Justin? Does he has another partner. Sorry if it's too much. I read the epilogue and found out about Brian/other. That's why I really want to know before make up my mind about whether I'm going to read it or not. Thank you.. :-)

I too am not fond of any other pairing apart from B/J but this is a very good long story. Justin does not come out of it as a good guy overall though that might affect whether you want to read it.

Brian and Justin are apart while Justin pursues his art in New York and Brian discovers that he has a new lover who is an art patron and Justin has moved in with him without telling Brian. Justin sees no problem with this but Brian does and starts to distance himself from Justin and tries to move on. He then meets up again with Danny who is the younger brother of his old college room mate and part of a huge Irish family. Danny came out to him when he was 16 and Brian helped his family accept him. Brian and Danny begin a relationship which slowly everyone begins to accept except Justin (who always expected Brian to wait for him). The story has all kinds of twists in that the guy that Justin is living with has been after Danny for years and there are all sorts of side stories and sub plots but it is well worth reading the whole Universe series.

Thank you for the spoiler. Jolie said that Arwen is a pro Brian and sees Justin as an immanture and selfish young man. I don't have problem with that. I mean that's her right to interpret the character. I just can't handle angst like that right now,except angst that bring B/J back together :-).

Justin was SO much more mature than Brian! I think that's hysterical. It was no coincidence that Justin tells Brian that he (Justin) was the most mature person that Brian knew. Hell Brian was 29 when he came out to his dad, and 30 when he got "caught" by his. Justin came out at 17. Who's more mature, then? *snickers some more*

I got what you mean. From the info I got,Arwen only sees Justin as in S5. Maybe leaving Brian to NY is a sign that he's selfish and immature? Though from my POV it's working both way. Actually my fave type of fic is Justin down the well and Brian is the knight in shining armour (well,my romantic and geeky side is :-D).

And oddly enough, Justin is stronger in S5 than in any other season. It takes balls to walk away from the man you love (507) because you're tired of waiting for him to grow up, then have the balls to do it again because it's time for you to make your way in the world, as your partner already has (12 year age difference, remember?). I think a lot of people tend to forget that Brian had already gone to college, worked his way up through 2 companies before starting his own, plus owning Babylon. When we get to S5, Justin is just at graduation age. He has a lot of living to do, a lot of growing to do.

Fic-wise, I love Justin down the well! The deeper, the better. I like schmoop, and humor, of course. For down the well stuff, I go with vamphile and Myrna. Schmoop, well, there's lots. Xie would prolly kill me, but she does good schmoop. lol Humor? Valerie Z. Bar none. Funniest fic in fandom. Oh, and angst!! I'm a huge angst ho! BBC, Ragingpixie, Rhiannon...oh, and then there's crack. Rizabeau. Pure crack. The kind you can't put down, even when you want to. lol

All of the authors you've mentioned are my fave. I just finished reading Xie's and Rebel's drable about Justin and Rage the kitten. Such a refreshing stuff. But I thought Rizabeau's stuff is more angst than crack. I mean her Signed,Sealed,Deliver series are one of the best I've ever read. Just like Vamphile's Keeping Series. Or England13's Choices fic. Ohh..you make me want to go and read all of their fics again. I have to finish tidying up my room first though *pout*
