In the fic I'm looking for Justin was raped and Brian Retires? and takes Justin away to start a new life without dealing with the family. I think they ended up with a house by a lake. Brain did loads of DIY and had his own construction company. Hope someone remembers it.

If I am not mistaking, DIY is "do it yourself". It's a kind of books.

DIY is Do It Yourself (http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/entrypage/homepage.jsp?_requestid=349906), meaning rather than getting tradesmen in to do carpentry or plastering or building in your home, you do it yourself.

It's a particularly UK centric term I think. It's a common thing for people to spend a fortune on DIY tools and wood, cement and ceramic tiles to improve their home themselves. I think the American term for it would be Home Improvement?

I do remember it, just don't know where it is, or whats is called, sorry.

If it jogs anyones memory I am sure Michael was blamed, and he was about to get arrested, but it turned out to be someone else, (i even remeber who!) and the bit where Micheal is finally cleared was an interview with Justin and Brian done by video camera because they had built a new life away from Pittsburg, and no one knew where they were, they didn't know Michael was under suspicion, as soon as they realised they had a video conference with the police to rule him out as a suspect.
