been absent for a while....

So I haven't been around QAF fic land for quite some time, & I was hoping you guys could point me in the direction of any really great must-read newer stories? Any new authors that are just delicious?

Also, I'm looking for fics where B&J are living together with kids & do family things. You know those stories where the author captures B&J home life with kids perfectly?

I know you guys won't let me down! Ya'll are always awesome at fic recs!

Thanks!

Not sure about the B/J with kids fics (not my thing), but as for some awesome "new"-er authors, you MUST check out [livejournal.com profile] blissink and [livejournal.com profile] ryosato. They're two of my favorites.

Definitely check out these:
One Love - http://blissink.livejournal.com/tag/one+love
What About Now? (WIP) - http://blissink.livejournal.com/tag/what+about+now
All's Fair (WIP) - http://ryosato.livejournal.com/921466.html

And the rest of their fics are amazing as well. Just check out their tags.

Just to show how much I love these fics, I've probably re-read One Love about 10 times and I constantly check LJ for updates on the other two. Both of these writers are good about keeping up with their WIPs. They update regularly. :)

Since you've been gone, you should take a look at the new header and expanded Sidebar, Memories and Tags, courtesy of a fairy godmother who gifted us with a paid account. One thing we ask everyone to do now is use a specific subject line with your post, so if you'd edit your post to be reflective of your search, it'd be much appreciated. If you're unsure what I mean, just scroll backwards through some previous entries. You'll get examples and also see how doing so makes searching faster.

New authors... I don't know how long you've been gone, but one I always recommend is [livejournal.com profile] england13's Choices (http://england13.livejournal.com/tag/choices). It's a post-show where J stays in the Pitts and it's excellent. It is a WIP, but I believe she'll finish; she's had computer problems of late, according to her most recent post. Check her one-shots, too.

[livejournal.com profile] ladybugkay's Visual Aids (http://ladybugkay.livejournal.com/25550.html). It's not that new, but it was new to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A truly brand-new author just debuted part 1 of her incredibly well-written and v.v. hot fic just a couple of nights ago. Impasto (http://the-minx-17.insanejournal.com/tag/qaf+verse:+impasto), by the_minx_17.

And check out the recent clusterf#ck challenge at [livejournal.com profile] qaf_challenges.

Great recommendations so far - I love "What about now" and check for update, like, every hour ;).

B/J with kids, hm, maybe you don't know everything by shadownyc yet?

She is not a new author but she has written a lot lately.

Hi,

Mikiebg has some really great fics where Brian and Justin have kids. It's a series of long fics that spans for years. You should really check them out. And they are also in pdf file.
