Well, if you're looking for some of the best fic in the fandom, you should check out qaf_retread, which is linked on the Sidebar.

As far as writing fic: have you seen the show? The whole show? lol If you have, jump in. 'Cause some writers? I swear they've only seen scenes on youtube or watched it on Logo or something. Whatever, they're missing a lot! ;))

It's a fantastic comm; all the fandom classics are rec'd there. Check qaf_faves, too, also linked on the sidebar. Those two comms will keep you very busy with good fics.

I think you should most definitely write some fic. I'll be watching the fic comms for your name. ;)

That depends on what you want to write.

bjfic is an anything goes comm, by which I mean, any pairing, any rating, any situation.

If you want to write for the upcoming Weather/Vacation challenge Red linked above, check it out.

neverenough_bj has various challenges going on and is B/J specific (I think).

LJ has drabylon and IJ has qaf_drabbles (both linked on the Sidebar). These are drabble comms with a new prompt every week.

There are off-LJ archives to post to, also. (Midnight Whispers, Across the Pond, and bjfic.net, though it's down at the moment, are all available for all pairing, etc. and they're also linked on the Sidebar.)

wow-my nomination just got totally dissed by the mod at xover_exchange.
I need to read/write in like 4 or 5 fandoms in order for her to accept my nomination. Looks like she threw out all the qaf noms because we were ballot-stuffing.

Ironically, I do read/write in three fandoms, and would have probably tried my hand at writing a cross-over there, but not now :(

True, but to diss and remove a fandom because of alleged ballot stuffing is pretty high-handed in my opinion. But it's just that, my opinion.

It's why I run screaming from fests in general, and only participate in specific fandom challenges.

How many of us could there possibly be compared to the REALLY BIG fandoms out there anyway??

Anyway, I now know the difference between a "multi-fandom fest" and a "fandom specific challenge" so I learned something new and I will stick with what's been working for me ;)
