Randy & Fab on a date?

I'm almost positive that I watched somewhere in a commentary that Randy and Fabrizio (Ethan) went on an actual date to get a feel for the Justin/Ethan arc. Does anyone know where I can find this piece of knowledge?

he is married, but I think he didn't marry until after the show. 2006 or something. Either way, more than half the cast of this show is straight and pretending to be gay, so I'm not sure the fact that he's not a gay boy really has much impact on whether or not this would have happened.
