Im trying to find this fic I read  a while ago.  it's by moonshadow woman and I'm worried that it might be on BJfic since I can't find it on MW.  It;s a fic where Justin is reading this book by a slave or something, and it flips back and forth between BJ in the present and BJ in the past where Brian is a pirate (i think)... basically, the whole fic is about brian and justin in the past that they are forbidden to be together and they end up on a pirate ship together and then on an island where its like "paradise" and live together there until they die. and then at the end of the fic bj in the present end up going to that island and are trying to find the place that past bj are buried.

Update: Found it

Well, I don't know this one, but there's a "time travel" (not really) story wherein Justin is having really bad dreams and somehow, with the help of, I think, a vintage bookstore owner and Mysterious Marilyn, they figure out that Justin's dreaming of his and Brian's past in England and maybe in other lifetimes, too. Brian's someone in authority and Justin's an indentured servant or something. Mikey's involved, too, in a negative way. Anyway, they have to resolve whatever was left unresolved or there will be a bad result in current time.

I don't remember exactly, but somehow the bookstore owner's past is also entwined or his lover's past, something. They went to an old burial area in this one, too. But no island or pirates, so I'm pretty sure this isn't the one you're thinking of, unless you're combining two fics. Which I've done before. ;)

I didn't expect to enjoy this fic as it's a little AU for me, but I did. And now I kinda wish I could remember who wrote it.

I think that all of the pirate fics are categorized in the QAF_crackfic community - off to look and find the reference - I'll post.

the fic is "the prince and the privateer" and is not on the MW website

You might want to contact Elsa Rose (aka Moonshadow Woman) through the link on the homepage of MW and ask her if she plans to publish it on the MW website.

the qaf_crackfic community is retired, and it was a membership only community, but here's my post

Unfortunately, the fics are on BJFIC.net

I know that Cael is working on getting BJfic back up and working, but there is no current ETA.

Post as follows:

Pirate Crack!fic
Okay, so I posted a note about a little crack!fic from Draccone over at BJfic.net.

And while folks made comments, a couple noted that Draccone had a Pirate!fic that they wanted updates (but they didn't give a link to the pirate!fic *glares at people who don't leave links*)

So I decided that I should go out and do a little investigation.

I had remembered reading a couple of fics where pirates seemed to be part of the theme. Most are set in the past - so there is all this historical exposition to wade through, but it might be your cup of tea.

So here is a compilation of pirate!fic for your crack!fic enjoyment.

Dreaming About Us by Draccone. A bit of a note here. There are modern day pirates out there. Draccone lives in the caribbean, on the island of Puerto Rico. So amazingly enough, she has some knowledge on the subject. 18 chapters so far - not completed, last update in april 2006.

The Prince and the Privateer by Moonshadow Woman. Written in rather period-esque flowery prose and in Journal/Diary format. Time period is late 1700s. This story is completed.

The Sultan's Favorite by Zahar. This author is not a native english speaker. But is from the middle east - or at least that is the impression one gets from the notes. I had been reading this fic and all but given up on it being updated, but then a she posted an update in July. WIP. Last update in July 2006. Note, Justin and Brian don't meet for like the first 6 chapters.

I also ran across the below fic as I was looking for the above Pirate!Fics. I haven't read it so I don't know much about it.

A Pirate's Tale by Wren

Book Reports are due on Monday...

Oh, Wren's A Pirate's Tale (http://wren-kt7oz.livejournal.com/26563.html) is a favorite of mine.

A Halloween stand-alone with B/J outfitted as Johnny Depp and whoever from that movie (specificity is my forte, y/y? lol), and trick-or-treating with tiny pirate!Gus before a party at Mikey's. Be aware, Wren is no fan of Michael's so it's got an anti-Mikey slant.

The Sultan's Favorite? Is that Sheik!Brian? I've never read it, but I loved the icon firecediva or someone came up with for it. Big discussion once upon a time about the sheik!Brian and amish!Justin fics that was hysterical. I've never read amish!Justin either, though, as I'm much less willing to venture too far along the AU road than many.

Zahir's "the sultan's favorite" was a favorite crack fic of mine
she even asked me to beta for her
but she only posted about 8 chapters
I think she was in the Netherlands doing middle eastern studies
regardless, her attention to historical detail accuracy was good - but there was not enough B/J interaction.
Some of the fun was the belly dancer teaching Justin to dance for the Sultan.

Amish!Justin is a HUGE crack!fic favorite - the whole butterchurn thing is hysterical.

Go on, take that first stumble down the road, the first taste of crack is always free...
