Anyone worth reading at slashcity.com?

Having become annoyed at bjfic and midnight whispers for different reasons, I'm looking to branch out. Anyone worth reading at slashcity.com? QAF-US only, please.

ETA: well, not exactly what I was asking for, but some interesting comments on alternative archives and places to look for stories.

YAY! I was getting ready to join Red's *cough* with a *sneeze*! ;)

I am totally with you on wishing the Tribe site noted a year on the updates.

I've read a couple of Holly Ilex' fics and, if I'm remembering correctly, she uses a lot of British slang, which turns me right off a fic. There are a few non-American writers I read who aren't as careful as I'd like about that slip, but if you want me to overlook it, you best have a damn compelling plot!

I don't really have any suggestions for you, unfortunately. You're way more open to AUs than I am so I know you've read lots more fic than I have. A new author to LJ in the last several months is [livejournal.com profile] england13. She's got a couple of stand-alones and a WIP that's nearly finished. Her WIP updates have slowed down some, but it's not abandoned. Have you read her stuff. I thin she's very good; plot is interesting and her characters are IC *and* she understands the rules of grammar!
