Awhile ago I read this fic about how the Justin-lookalike hustler in 301 knew he was filling in for a ghost from Brian's past. I'm pretty sure it was written from the hustler's point of view. I have no idea where I found it or who wrote it or what it was called. It came up recently in a discussion and ever since then I've been itching to read it again. Anyone know the fic I'm talking about???

EDIT: I still haven't found the fic, but I have a better description from someone else who also read it... "the hustler was at Woody's, and Michael sees him, thinking it was Justin. Then Brian sees him, and the hustler sees Justin, and realizes that he was a stand-in."

Glad you liked it! It was one of the first fics I read in this fandom and I was struck by the inclusion Justin's artwork - I'd never read about it before. :)

Hmm, I read one like that once. I remember the hustler guy thinking that he'd expected Brian to kiss him, because he'd never had anyone look at him like that before and not kiss him. Huh. Actually, I think I've read more than one with that guy's POV.

That doesn't sound quite like the one I'm thinking of. The hustler is in Woody's and sees Justin and Brian together and just realizes that Justin is the one Brian was missing.

Could it be wouldbedorothy's Five things Brian and Justin find out Part IV: The Substitute (http://community.livejournal.com/bjfic/727330.html)? It's not told by the hustler's POV but by your description I think it could be the right one...

I've read this one before. Lemme think a little. It was run rereading London's fic. I'd forgotten about that one. And now that I'm thinking about this, I think I've also read one where the hustler is at Babylon in the back room on his own time and sees Brian. I don't remember any details, though.
