Brian w/ Friends outside of 'the gang'

I wanted to see if there were any fics where Brian has a meaningful friendship with someone that isn't a part of the family. It can be an OC or someone that is not a friend in the show.

I was surprised no one came up with any Brian Friendship stories. I'm sure there must be some more out there. I did a quickie search and found a couple of stories. Not sure this is exactly what you are looking for but they are worth a look.

Try this one... Brian is sort of friends with a neighbor and her dog. A sweet story.

There is also one where Brian is sort of friends with the psychologist Dr. Alex but it is only about 4 or 5 chapters of a post 513 Justin is in NYC story. I think Alex shows up in chapter 2 or 3. Here is a link to the memories with a list of the chapters if you want to look at it:

There are a couple of others that popped up in my search where Brian is friends with women but het sex is involve and I can't stand those and don't have links to them. Well I do know where one of them is located if you really feel the need to read it but....

Here are 2 more stories in which Brian has friendships with other people outside the family. I wasn't sure if they would meet your requirements as the friendships are interwoven into the Brian/Justin Story. But I figured I'd give you the info and you can decide if you want to read them.


The first one is The Kane Series by Erin {aka Negative Erin, aka Erin Griffin, aka Mercury Rising [website] aka throughthelens78} aka I have no idea what name you might know this author under so I gave you all the names I could remember. LOL

In the Kane Series Mr. Kane starts out as a Client, becomes a trick then eventually becomes a friend to Brian and by the end of the story a friend of Justin's as well. It is a au season 3 reunion story that is well done as all of Erin's stories are.

The other story is called the Justin Series by Hephaistion-Lo. In this story Brian and Justin explore BDSM. Brian contacts an old friend of his named Darryl Montgomery who takes B/J through the training. This series needs extra extra warnings as it is hotter than a load of fire crackers. LOL. And I'm not kidding!!!

Parts of this story can be found on Across the Pond site however it doesn't have all TEN [10] chapters posted there. So you can download all 10 chapters plus the story that started it all in one file on sendspace. I have the story uploaded in both a word doc and a pdf file.

Warnings: This series is meant to show Justin exploring the world of BD/SM. There will be some humiliation, bondage and spanking. It looks like from notes she had on her yahoo group she was going to write more to this series but stopped writing QAF sometime around the end of season 5. Although I would have liked more it is a good read as it is.

Tagsit's Summer of Sin on KinnetikDreams.com and Paeansong's Talismen Series on MW. I think his 'outside' friends (which if you ask me are MUCH better friends than the whiny smuck and WASPy blonde lady) make an appearance in the third installment. Truthfully the entire series is GREAT! I just wish she'd finish up the last couple of stories in them (an additional 'Sidebar' and 'The Gathering'). You won't regret reading SOS nor the Talisman series (start with Sparring Partners).

There's an old friend of Brian in Plumsuede's everything at once, a guy named Matt that he met before befriending Michael. Matt lives in California and Brian will ask him to look after Justin when he goes to Hollywood to work on the Rage movie. Matt only appears in the end of the story (the epilogues chapters).

I have a story where Brian is best friends with a girl named Morgan that he met when he had cancer the first time. It's sort of a could be cannon story. Anyways he befriends her and lets her see the real him, but things go a little haywire when he finds out that she's Melanie's niece and his two worlds are about to collide.
