Hi!:) I came across 'Point of View' by GaleandRandy four months ago or so, read first few chapters and then stopped because I was disturbed by obviously deep feelings Brian had for Griffin. To me it looked like real, overwhelming, the one of a kind and true romantic Love - and even though I completely *loved* the author's style and descriptions and plot, I decided not to continue, because I just couldn't believe Brian's feelings for Justin will be stronger than that. But this story kept haunting me, and I read so many great comments about it... so, I decided to ask for your advice. Should I read it despite the fact I have troubles with B/J loving someone else? Was I right, and Brian did love Griffin romantically with all his heart, all there is to him, or is there some history there that I'm not aware of? Can Brian's feelings for Justin be even more fascinating and beautiful than they are/were for Griffin? And, as far as I understood from comments, Brian and Justin's break up was in a lot of ways Brian's fault, so I wonder, did it take time for them to find a path to each other again after Griffin's death, or Justin forgave and forgot everything quite easily?

Read it. Can't say I loved it, can't say I hated it. The story itself isn't bad, more than that - it's *beautiful*, just like all GaleandRandy's stories, but I didn't like the main characters: Brian disgusted me - and it was like he didn't understand what he wanted, not in the beginning, not later; I didn't understand Justin at all and I felt nothing for Griffin. So, it was okay to read, but it didn't impress me that much, unfortunately. Still, I'm glad I read it. It was worth it.

It's sad,but has a happy ending. Some parts were painful to read, but it's a good story.

Yes, I know it has a happy ending - I always check things like that before I start reading. I get very emotional when I read, so I wondered if putting up with Brian/Griffin will be worth it. I read a very popular B/J story in summer - Brian does something really horrible in it, and I was reading in hopes to see how he and Justin will slowly work everything out and get back together. But, Brian didn't even have to ask! It was like he did nothing wrong at all, Justin was so happy that *Brian* took *him* back. I felt very disappointed, because I've spent hours reading, and all my anger at Brian and pain for Justin weren't resolved.

You might want to not read this then. Brian does something terrible to Justin that causes the breakup. Yes, Justin forgives him years later...but at that time, Brian was incredibly callous towards Justin.
I did not like Brian in this story . Yes, it was a good story, yes the ending was happy...but given your past emotions towards fics, I don't think you'll forgive Brian.

Oh, I can't say I mind Brian's being callous towards Justin - I practically live on angst, and break-up stories are my favorite - but I love when Justin behaves realistically, meaning Brian has to make efforts to win him back, to get him to forgive him. Could you please tell me just one thing - in this story, does Brian really regret what he did, and if he does (even years later), does Justin forgive him as soon as he sees Brian's remorse or a bit later?

Brian really does regret what he did although we come to know the reasons for why he did what he did. Justin does not forgive him easily and puts up quite the resistance. This fic is one of my personal favs and so is the author.

Brian has remorse. I feel Justin forgave too quickly, but it was an a culmination of issues that brought them both to forgive one another.
