I really wish when people ask these things here that they'd first take the time to actually look at my journal or contact me in a pm or email, on my journal three entries down it talks about Ardor and me finishing it. Entries like these, by someone who hasn't ever commented on the work from what I can tell, make me as an author appear to have disappeared from fandom or to have abandoned work that I have not. The last update was in February and I'm working on it. I take my writing seriously (possibly a little too seriously) and depending on the subject matter of the fiction it may take me some time to complete them. But anything posted as galeandrandy will always be completed in time. I'm writing this comment in response to not only this request here but there have been others of recent like this one. I do my best to consistently post updates about my progress at my journal of my stories and those entries are public.
Didn't mean to offend you in any way. It was just a question: sometimes, when you comment on a fic that hasn't been updated in sometime, the author doesn't answer, so I thought here I would get my answer sooner.
I'm sure you didn't mean to offend and I don't really take any because you aren't alone in posting a request like this. I figured that posting a reply such as I have will deter anyone else who may be reading through these and explain my viewpoint and other author's views on seeing entries posted like this. I understand that what I think should be reader's etiquette is not always common knowledge. I think it best to go to the author's page, look around, then if the info can't be found, to ask them about the story in a pm or comment, as who else would know the story's progress better?
