3 days in hospital post-bashing

I have a question, even though I don't know if it's okay to ask here. Please ask me to delete it if it's too out of topic.
In each fic about the post-bashing I've read that Brian stays in the hospital for 3 days, waiting to know if Justin will make it. Now, I wonder if this information came from the show, because I never heard it, but maybe it's because I'm Italian and I watched it in my language and it was dubbed differently so they never said it. If they actually say it, can you tell me when exactly?

When Ben is hospitalized, Michael calls for Brian and has a bit of a breakdown. Brian then reminds him of how they sat outside Justin's room for three days until they knew he would okay and that he couldn't have made it without Michael's help.

Brian (to Michael): "The night Justin was bashed, I called and you were about to get on the plane. And you came and sat with me for three days waiting to see if he was gonna live or die..." (more or less ;))

I feel your pain. I'm German and while I didn't watch the show with German dubbing, I know of a few scenes where the translation is simply wrong. Not just adjusted or anything, just wrong.

Yeah I know... for example, in 2x02, when Brian and Daph try to help Justin remember the prom, when Justin asks "You kissed me? In front of evryone?", Brian says "Yeah, you should have been there." This, in the original.
In Italian they translated:
J: "you kissed me? In front of everyone?"
B: "Yes. I did."
What the...? I think it was a crime!!! And also they cut the scene of 5x13 when Brian and Justin have the fucking marathon at the beginning! I couldn't believe it!

I know, right?
In 5x12 is that scene where they talk about Justin being the one who named Gus etc, right? And in English, Brian says he remembers the subsequent events of that night very well. And in German, they translated it to: "I remember what happened before that..."

I know that a lot of things just can't be translated word for word so it'll fit the actors' lip movements but sometimes they just change the entire meaning.
