I just finished Fifty Shades of Grey book 1. I was wondering if there are any fics along the lines of Shades for my boys Brian and Justin. If so please share.

Oh I agree, I don't feel like fucking then either. But there are lots of women who are even hornier then and as long as it is safe, it shouldn't be taboo or anything. Just saying that a tampon with a little bit of menstrual blood is not really a big deal.

Yeah, it's different for every woman, which is why it's important to ask first, because in real world there'd be 50% chance that period sex would be painful or at least very uncomfortable for Ana. In 50 shades universe there is literally nothing she doesn't enjoy sexually and it automatically makes every abusive stunt Christian pulls okay. THAT is not okay! Ugh, this book.

Lol at comparing 50 shades to cheesegrater!fic. Well, I'm sure that if Christian invited cheesegrater to their bedroom games, Ana would orgasm just as hard as she did from every other thing he initiated, so it'd be all well in the end.

*lol* Like it or not, it makes people and especially women talk about what they do like. Maybe the outcome of the bad thing isn't such a bad thing after all. At least, that's my personal conclusion.

I kind of doubt that it would be such a hit with the audience though...;o) On the other hand, it could be a campaign by Brian Kinney to market cheese graters...

You know, I grew up in a freaking WAR torn country but nothing traumatized me as some of the stuff in various fandoms. I should just quit reading altogether.

You know I so understand the BDSM community's pissed off atitude at that 'work'.
From what little excerpts I have read it's just...degrading and humiliating at times and BDSM, from what I gathered, and even though I am not into it at all in fictional or real life, is about trust - something that goes way deeper than most of Elisabeth Taylor's marriages. rofl.

But anyways, I didn't read it all and will not, so wtf do I know.

I still feel, it pretty much pissed in the face of Jung, Sade, Masoch and femmanine assertion in today's 'whose dick is bigger' world.

I will not start counting all the other tragedies that made people talk about important issues, for the sake of saying "The good doesn't compensate the bad" :D Or that the positive fallout would still happen if the book was good. Probably.

*pets* I seem to read different fan fic. Not that it's all trauma-less but mostly I suffer from really bad orthography and "baby talk" in B/J fics...All those poor abused kitchen appliances....sounds very Desperate Housewifes to me.

Here's the thing. While I actually enjoy a little realism in fics/books, I don't need a tampon removal in the middle of a sex scene. People take shits, too, doesn't mean I wanna read about it. It has nothing to do with crossing a line, it has to do with the fact that the writer thinking that detail was necessary tells me that she needs to do some research. Maybe I should link her to Minotaur's How To Write A Sex Scene.

Then I guess I should leave out the FLOGGING ANA WHILE SHE'S PREGNANT, then? Hell yeah, that's sexy as hell! Gimme more of that!

This book needs to die in a fucking fire.

I haven't read 50 Shades and have no plan to do so, since, as mysid said so eloquently above, "I have better porn."

But if there are consent issues in 50 Shades, there are, too, in Elyxer's fic. IIRC, the fic *begins* with high stakes non-con, or dub-con, at the least. Justin brings home a drunk or high Brian and proceeds, among other things, to sound him. Way outside the boundaries, IMO. I also find no recognizable Brian in that fic, but of course, that is a subjective opinion.

There's a lot of really good, really hot BDSM fic out there, but most of it is not in the QAF fandom.

Buckeye5's fic is very well done and a compelling read, IMO, though it's unfortunately been abandoned and there's not a lot of Justin in it.

Minxie's fics absolutely cannot be rec'd highly enough, IMO.

And for casual play fics, Plum, Tricia, and Vamphile have all written some very hot stories.

For those interested, Manna Francis' Administration (http://www.mannazone.org/zone/) series is very popular among a lot of people. This series has nothing to do with QAF.
