hi.. i just finished reading the Sunshine Files. I really enjoyed the long series (it's still ongoing) about Justin and Brian's life through the years..... they discovered new friends, got married, had a family... all that stuff. I wonder if there are similar looonnnggg series chronicling their life post series (oh in this case, Sunshine files is post S4 i think)....    I've read vamphile's keeping series.... hope there are some more...

thanks!

Obviously it's not the same thing, but I think "Karma" and its sequels "Gene pool" and "Progeny" by the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] mickiebg are an amazing trip through their life after 513:)

This is the link to [livejournal.com profile] mickiebg's memories http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=mickiebg happy reading!!!!

EDIT: I've thought another one (I'm a slow thinker heheheh;) this is wonderful as well, a long breathtaking fic starting with one of the most amazing "chapter one" of all times http://allie-quixotic.livejournal.com/23650.html#cutid1

Especially the Gus series is a must. Don't know about in character, because we do have "domestic" B/J here, but it's all Gus' POV so I just loved to see them through his eyes. shadownyc is a good writer, so you should give it a shot.

I would suggest the Kondo series. It's set 10 years after the series ends. The last part isn't finished, but I found that it wasn't terribly disconcerting. The story can be found in the GIH 4shared folder.

I also second the allie-quixotic story mentioned above. It's a great story. I've read it several times.

The best one I can recommend is Xie's Only Time Series. The series is still on going but has individual completed arcs. There is also a large number of stand-alone one shots set in the verse. Definitely a worthwhile read

Have you read any of Wren's fic yet? I think they would fit your request quite well. Especially Experiments, Reverberations, and Homecoming.

Shame on me:( how could I forget one of my fav author??????

She's the only one I read WIP just because I know she's still very envolved in the fandom and you can simply trust her about that masterpiece of "homecoming", every month more or less she posts a new chapter, and it's like a party for me, yeah!!!!

So give a try to homecoming, it's amazing:)))))

this isn't a feel good story for the most part but it's fantastic and huge, I think it's about to celebrate it 10th birthday! this is the link to the first part Queer Theories, then it goes to Queer Realities then is finishing up with Queer Identities

Give it another try. Gaedhal's Brian and Justin are so wonderfully written!

I had to start it twice, and then I was hooked! That was 7 years ago!!!!!

[livejournal.com profile] gaedhal saga it's a well-written long fic, but Brian WAS in love with the omc (Ron), so if you (like me) can't stand those kind of fics, don't read it, you'll spare yourself some pain;)

Honestly, I just kind of skimmed through all the Ron stuff unless both Brian and Justin were directly involved. It gets much more bearable in the second of the series, though, (for reasons that are spoilers) and the author is really good about updating. Her Brian and Justin are pretty IC, too, which helps.

I read all the way to chapter 68 of QI and I just couldn't take it anymore. Way too much angst for me & Brian was just way too self destructive...but very well written.

You could try "The Angel Stream" or "Medium Security" -- both are long
and there's no OMC. But be aware that "MS" is a prison fic -- there's some
violence, but a happy ending.
