You need to put this under an LJ-cut.

Okay, wait...I think I misread this post. Do you HAVE these fics? Are you LOOKING for these fics? Or are you only looking for the bottom part of that list? If so, we really don't need that huge list. First off, most people here have read them. And if you were making a rec-list, it's customary to provide links to the fics.

So if you're only looking for those last few, you can delete the rest of your list.

How do I find a fic just by the title, without an authors name? I have wondered this for a LONG time...

Thanks!

Okay, but you already have a post with these fics listed, so you need to cut that part out and only post the fics you're still asking about. Otherwise, this is going to turn into a "taste is subjective" post, and that's somewhere we don't wanna go...ever again.

You ask someone if they know who wrote it.

Boys Keep Swinging is mine, it's here:http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=qafkinnetic&keyword=Boys%20Keep%20Swinging&filter=all

I'll look later to see if I have any of the others saved.

Thank you for deleting the top part of your post, as it did confusingly just look like a rec list without links.

I'm not sure why you felt the need to do another post, as you already had a post asking for AU recs and gave your list inside that. But you might want to edit the subject line on this post now to reflect your actual question about these fics.

No idea. The only one I've read of your remaining list is Kindred, and that's a de-age fic, so no, not IC. I did like it, though. The second part of that series is an abandoned WIP.

Just the second part. The first part is finished, and it stops in an okay place.

The author actually posted further up and said it was hers...it was [livejournal.com profile] qafkinnetic

Yeah, I've actually wanted to read this but I read some of the comments at the end and saw you had never started the sequel...anyway, I hope you pick back up on it because it really seems like you had a lot of great feedback!

What Red said about taste being subjective still applies, of course. People disagree all the time about what is IC, and somebody may love a fic and rec it and you may hate it, or somebody may tell you to avoid a fic you would have loved.

I adore [livejournal.com profile] rromantic. I would say that her Brian and Justin are IC, and as long as you are open to reading from the POV of a cat (with a very entertaining personality, lol), you should enjoy the Beam 'verse.

I would have to say, the most IC of all of these is the Tarot Series. It was abandoned, but ends at a really good place.

Civil Differences was not IC due to the time period, but was really well written & I enjoyed it.

Irish Hunk...was not in character but I loved the story.

I don't remember the characterization of Lost or A New Beginning, but I do remember liking them and looking for other fics by those authors.

Started reading Famili Flaws, but had to stop as it was just too upsetting to me, but you should form your own opinion.

If you are looking for others that seem to be as good as a continuation of the series you should read:

You can check the fic folders (the ones listed title first), check a big archive like Midnight Whispers and click to look by titles, try Google and type in the title and other helpful words (like "QAF" or "brian/justin"). When all else fails, make a post here! :)

Irish Hunk...was not in character but I loved the story.

Yup. At least Irish Hunk is OOC on purpose. It gives you a very different Brian who wishes he could be like Brian as we know him.

The Beam stories start while Justin is with Ethan. Beam is actually Ethan's cat, Wolfram, who doesn't care much for Ethan and kind of adopts Brian and Justin, lol. And gets a new name.

I don't think bdeviled will finish Full Circle, but I can assure you, it ends in a really good place it's TOTALLY worth the read. I've read it over and over again and it's one of the first things I recommend to new QAF readers. I love this story and I think it's beautifully done. Really angsty with a wonderful payoff.

I agree, I was perfectly happy where 'Full Circle' was left. I wouldn't have minded more, but as an ending, it works nicely.

You recommended it to me--I ADORED it--and then recommended it to everyone I know who is new to QAF. It's really wonderful. ♥

Yeah, I started a prequel and then never got anywhere with it. I have the sequel planned out but I have no idea when I'm gonna get around to writing it. Boys Keep Swinging itself ends only on a very slight cliffie, but finishes off enough that it's more of a "leave how they go on afterwards to the reader's imagination" kind of thing, the way 5.13 was in the show.

I'm so glad you took a chance, and that you liked it. I was so moved by Cal and Brian's understanding of one another. They both truly showed their love for Justin. MAX!!! I miss that story already. I might have to read it again.

Thanks for updating your other post :) Could you update this one, and the Stockholm Syndrome post as well? (You don't need to edit the subject line when you get your answer, just the post.)
