Don't know if this is acceptable to post here. I'm not looking for a specific story, just some rec's of your favorite stories. I like B/J, AU's, any theme actually, even B/Other or J/other, as long as they end up together. :-) The only thing I'm not too found of is Mpreg stories, (but I have read one or two goods ones)

I need something to make me forget the bullshit I have to deal with at work just for a few minutes at of the day. Not too long, (not much time) something I can read in a couple of days.

Open to all recommendations!

Thanks
Gina Marie

Could you unlock your post? :)

Sorry about the work bullshit :(

And the more specific the request, the better, but people ask for recs fairly often around here. It's all good.

The Angel Stream by Gaedhal is a nice place to go after a bad day. For Gaedhal, it's really low angst. It's AU, and Christmas-y.

I don't even know where to start, there is so much amazing stuff in this fandom. Are you looking for recent things? Older stuff? I have a bunch of suggestions in my journal under the tag Rec:(blah) -- AUs, outsider POV, etc. Going through qaf_recs and qaf_rethread is also great fun (although quite of few of the suggested stories have gone poof.)

Have you read everything by Jane2005? Eleveninches?

Oh, I am envious of you! I'd love to read Jane and Eleven's stuff again for the first time. :)

Jane's are all in her memories:

I especially loved "Negation." Wow, just amazing.

Eleveninches:

She's amazing. I don't understand why she isn't as widely rec'd as others.

Have fun, and I hope things get better for you. ♥

Reiterating moonbright's comment - you looking for new or old stuff, or does it matter? Almost everything I've read is long, so...let me know!

I wouldn't mind having your rec... Long, very long fic, Brian/Justin, preferably, Old, new, doesn't matter, good written, and not a sex scene every paragraph. I love/like a good backup story ... not just the 'they argue' and 'they have sex'...

Thanks in advance.

Sam.

Sam, I don't know how long you've been in the fandom or what you've read already, but I can highly recommend Gina's own stories (petulant2u). She did a trilogy that starts with Before There Was You, There Was You and it's in my all-time TOP TEN out of the hundreds of stories I've read in this fandom. It's 78 chapters of amazingly interesting characters interacting with very inventive and compelling plotlines. Then you get TWO sequels to enjoy if you don't want to leave that universe. I adored this Brian and Justin and the family of friends they set up in their lives.

All the links to each chapter are on this page...

All my best :)

Hey, How long I am in the fandom, since ... 2005/2006 ... I'm an old thing around there, shared lots of fun with lots of people, still maintain and mod some QAF commm... I can't give them up, really...

Thanks, I think I saved it, or even already read it... will save the link again. THANK AGAIN.

I was first a Star Wars Fan, then a QAF fan, Since then I moved to Torchwood, and Twilight, but I always come back to QAF ...

Sam

Check out my memories. Heaps of LJ links to stuff I liked. Long, short, AU, drabbles, pretty much everything. Somehow a girl has to get her B/J stuff organized! Now it comes in handy.

Hope the bullshit is solved quickly!

Oh wow, you have lots of stuff there! Some I've read but much of it I haven't -- thanks for putting all that together. :)

Hey Gina! I always start to look through the challenge communities when I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but I know I need a b/j fix. There are so many hidden treasures to be found there. I think they're all linked on the sidebars.

Except for the qaf gift exchange which I don't see over there.

Hope things get better at work.

Aww honey, I'm sorry about work still being a bitch! *hugs you*

Well, we are always reading the same stories at the same time, so I know what you've seen recently. But have you read "Through A Mirror Darkly"? It was something I read last year and LOVED. Dark, exciting, angsty, beautiful stuff. Brian goes into their alternate reality and the other Brian comes into this one. It's extremely well done. I really found myself moved by all the characters. It's something you can lose yourself in this week.

You can download the pdf over to the right ------>

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yes, it was very dark. But I loved exploring the idea. Brian goes into an alternate reality, and that Brian ends up in this reality with Justin and the gang. Our Brian is searching in that other reality for that Justin. And then it's his search to get back. It's really so very interesting. I loved it.

You might have read it already.
