I read a QAF/Supernatural crossover quite a while ago and I’d like to read it again. I’ve checked tags, but didn’t recognize it there.
Here’s a bit of what I remember.
-Serious angst. Serious. Really.
-Gus is murdered. Viciously. Horribly. And left at Brian’s door.
(not a total spoiler, as this happens very early on)
-Justin goes into a mysterious coma for a very long time (years?)
-Brian becomes a hunter
-Ends in Major character death (that left me sobbing)
I know. It’s a tough read, but really well done. Haunting. Memorable (except, clearly, for the title and author’s name… Senility sucks!) I would so love to find this story. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

It's "Strange and Untrue" by Suzvoy, here:

Date: 2011-08-12 10:49 am (UTC)The one I'm looking for actually takes place in the world of SPN, the TV show. I'm fuzzy on details, but I don't think SPN's Sam and Dean were even in it, but circumstances pulled Brian and Justin into the world of demons and hunters. I'm making it sound flakey, and it's not. Reads very 'real'. Am I making any sense?

Date: 2011-08-13 11:05 am (UTC)I should have remembered that this was yours. I didn’t remember all of the details (more than I listed – didn’t want to spoil for those that haven’t read it yet), but the one thing I did remember was how powerful the writing was. As I said before… haunting. I don’t often read AU pieces, but this one – wow!
You write something like “The Adventures of Sunshine and Sweetums” and then write something like this… Your mind works in strange and mysterious ways! ;>
I’m so thrilled. I’ve been trying to find this on my own for ages. Thank you so much!
