Realistic results of Justin's bashing

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a story that more accurately depicts the outcome of Justin's bashing and his recovery process. Not that he couldn't possibly have come through it as quickly and easily as he did on the show but it seems unlikely to me -- I have a friend who suffered minor brain damage in a car accident and it took her years to recover and even now, her personality is different than it was before.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it!

Also, (before leaving the fandom) inner_justin wrote two awesome post-513, post-bashing AU stories, "Never" and "Someday a Day is Gonna Come," (I think that was the title,) where Justin is in an institution several years after the prom.

There was supposed to be a sequel too, before she deleted her journal and all her stories. But maybe someone out there saved a copy.

...I was thinking about your request over the weekend, and I suddenly remembered this one. It's called "Feeling" by sunshine_kin: http://www.qaf-fic.com/atp/viewstory.php?sid=5589. I don't think it's actually stated that it's post-bashing, but it's sort of implied. Warning though, it's completely tragic.

Also, toploft (gina) wrote an alternate season 2 where Brian helps Justin heal after the bashing. It's "The Art of Healing:" http://www.mags-nificent.com/MSW/GF/Art.htm

And, "This Man" by Rachel: http://www.qaf-fic.com/atp/viewstory.php?sid=840 It's a post-bashing amnesia fic where Justin doesn't remember Brian. It used to be on Bjfic.net, but this link is to Across the Pond, so I don't know if the version posted on that site is the completed one.

Your welcome...I think I'm having qaf-fic flashbacks. I just remembered one where Jennifer takes Justin to live somewhere else after the bashing; Justin has amnesia and gets a new boyfriend, but then comes back back to Pittsburgh for some reason and starts to remember...
