Brian called Ted "Theodore"

Does anyone remember the first time Brian called Ted "Theodore"? I was reading a fic and suddenly wondered it. If I'm not wrong, it's in season 3, when Emmett asked Brian's advice for his "fuck date". 

And why did Brian called Ted that name. It's his real name or it's a special, old way for the name "Ted" ???

Yeah, LMAO, that Brian for you. I can remember he rolled his eyes, bite his lips when he answer Debbie's question about how many people knew about his cancer, and he said, Michael, Justin, and... Theodore LMAO.
