Does anyone have any information about Gale Harold's family or current partners etc.

I know his a very private person but someone out there has to know something. A person in the spotlight can't keep all his private life hidden.

They most certainly can if, like Gale, they absolutely LOATHE interviews.

The most we've ever gotten out of Gale was during the QAF run. He did an interview during the SXSW show several years ago about the Scott Walker documentary he produced, a few throwaway soundbites about Desperate Housewives, but really, you'll have to hunt like you're looking for Jimmy Hoffa to find anything.

If you saw that "interview" he just did about his new show, you'll see what I mean. That's Gale, pretty much.

No, not really. lol I know an interviewer asked once (I think it was the Flaunt interview) but he wouldn't say. I always thought it had something to do with drugs...except he's a bigger pothead than Bill Maher. rotfl So, when I think of it, or see it, I think to myself that it means RESIST negativity, or giving up.

Where does these rumors originate from that he is a major pothead? Because he admitted in an interview that he lit up before it? And I read somewhere, that he drank whiskey in coffee cups during DVD signings? Is there any truth in it?

Hmmm...possible that he took it from Whitman. I like WW a lot.

No idea about the whiskey during DVD signings, I didn't/don't follow Gale, only when he's on tv...at least, I stopped following his every move around the time he did Vanished. As far as the pothead thing goes, it's kind of a not-secret secret. Can't point you towards anything specific. Others may be able to. I do know that Hal has said it several times, although a lot of people dismiss that as this hate/hate thing that Hal has for Gale.

While I would never divulge any personal/family info I've been privileged to hear about Gale, I CAN share this tidbit: When Gale and Peter were in the Bay Area for the first DVD signing, they made 2 appearances. The second was in a Best Buy store in Milpitas, of all places. Anyway, "the boys" took what an announcer called "a potty break," and later one of the salesmen divulged to a few of us that Gale and Peter spent their time in the bathroom sharing a joint. They were both quite jolly that day.

It's my opinion that part of Gale's "reputation" for being stoned can be blamed on his sometimes-rambling, almost incoherent early interviews. Whether that was related to use of pot, or just Gale's rather unique personality, who can say?

To be fair, marijuana is legal (with a license) in California (and Colorado! State pride! XD). Also, celebrities smoking pot is totally common. Smart celebrities can safely smoke pot and avoid all the negative health effects of other drugs. (Well, then there's acid and mushrooms, but we don't need to go there...) I DIGRESS. My point is, I would bet money he smokes weed. And OH. MY. GOD. If I could only smoke Gale up ONE TIME. JUST. ONE. TIME. C'MONNNNNN. Would be the best time ever. x.x

God I love him for that, lol. I've always felt weirdly creepy anytime I'd accidentally find out any personal details about either him or Randy. I love that Gale makes it really tough for that to happen. (I peeked through nearly closed eyes when I clicked in here but I was hoping someone said what you said, lol.)

I don't mind the personal info if the person in question divulged it, and back in the day, I glommed on whatever info we did get. But yeah. I'm in the Adam Lambert fandom, and omfg...he puts a lot of info out there, which is great, but good lord, it makes me wanna throw shit when people decide to tweet him and tell him what they think he should or shouldn't be doing with whomever he's dating. It's...dude. I'm all "People...I don't recall him asking you for permission, or even your opinion, so please to be STFU now, kthx."

Randy is even more closed-mouthed, if that's possible. Hell, Simon was the one that would mention him, I think Randy mentioned Simon maybe two or three times, if that, when they were dating. I like it that they have managed to keep their private lives as private as they have.

Nothing wrong with that, of course, but I'm still weird about it. And that's just my own odd issues! I used to think I like had a duty to watch/read interviews and stuff if I was going to write RPS for them but I could never do it without getting queasy or having a panic attack, lol. The fact that I never felt creepy writing fics about them really makes no sense, but... I generally don't make sense ;-b

I think the reason G/R RPS didn't weird me out is because of the fact that we don't know much about them personally. It almost makes it seem like the "Gale" and "Randy" in the RPS stories are just characters along with Brian and Justin.

It might be the reason why it didn't make you feel weird writing those wonderful stories and I fawned over!! Let's just say, all of your RPS me this girl very, very happy!
