I was wondering if anyone had the link, to the interview were Hal says that Cowlip will never work with Gale or Randy again. I know we had a very awesome conversation about the interview here but I looked in tags and couldn't find it :(
Thanks.

Date: 2010-11-23 10:59 pm (UTC)So, it is interesting to me to read information about the show and the actors at the time it was on Showtime. I can't imagine waiting for an episode from week to week when it was on Showtime. I would have gone crazy waiting for the plotlines to unfold!
Very interesting conversations. Thanks for the link :)

Date: 2010-11-27 01:55 am (UTC)I missed that whole discussion the first time around and didn't take time to read it now, but I saw Red's name in there a few times, so it must've been a good one. Otherwise, I know I would've heard from her back then: "Court! Wank in the comm. I'm shutting this shit down and deleting all the comments." lol
As far as going a bit beyond the boundaries of GIH, I don't think

Date: 2011-10-06 02:10 pm (UTC)Hal would have had to be mentally stunted to have any issues with how things turned out for Michael. The writers tried to take him from the 3rd star of the show to the moral center of the show in season 4 and 5, they tried to push Michael down our throats so much just to show what type of "family man" Michael was going to turn into.
Something I find amazingly funny given how shitty he treated Hunter until he found out he was HIV positive. I loved that total 180 that made him look like the biggest pandering ass. Oh the kid isn't worth his time until he has HIV. COME THE FUCK ON MICHAEL.
The article that I mentioned in this post was one that came out around the time that Gale was dealing with a swelled brain, when he could have died. It was filled with so many lies, that a fan in our fandom actually found a way to interview Cowlip just to see if there was anything to all the lies that Hal was spouting. Like how Cowlip would never hire or work with Gale and Randy again, and how Gale and Randy dared to question the writing of their characters.
This on top of all the other stuff that Hal has said over the years, about Gale especially are just proof that Hal is a shitty human being who is still upset because he wasn't the star of QAF.
He might have political beliefs that are admirable, but he is a bitter ass.
It makes me wonder how he will have the nerve to get on that plane to go to Germany in June. To face Gale and Randy after all the stuff he has said.
Now Randy, I would think that at 25 or 26 he would be smart enough not to let a guy lead him the way he let Simon, but he wasn't. Randy was a bit dick whipped by Simon's snobbery and gave him a lot of rope, but sometimes love can do that to you, and yes Simon and Randy hung themselves a bit with the rope, but these days after some maturing and finding a boyfriend that seems to make him happy and not angry like Simon did, it seems that Randy is in a good place with QAF now, sure it might just be for the money to help with his pet project http://theartsbureau.org/ but he does seem to be more at ease with the show, and happier. So I am willing to give Randy a bit of slack.
