Something cheerful please people
Ok, so I just got done reading Remission by Simon. It was a good story. However, I suddenly feel the need to read something upbeat. Anything upbeat.
It doesn't have to be fluffy or sappy, just cheerful. But not crackfic, please.
Any help would be seriously appreciated.
Thanks!
Edit: I have a couple of super-fast recs in the comments, but any others would be appreciated.
Edit 2: This was not meant as a reccomendation. While meaning no offence to the author, this is a truly depressing story, made far, far worse by the personal connections and reality it involves. It is not a story I will ever re-read. If you do choose to read it, don't blame me when it upsets you.

I've sadly discovered in time that there are some authors who write stories about B/J, but only with the purpose to make them suffer...and no happy ending, god forbit*g*
No offence to Simon, whoever he/she is, but if you really love B/J, STAY AWAY;)

I followed the thread with lots of interest.
I never read anything written by Simon -actually, I'm very new in the fandom so I think there is a lot to discover, still- but I found highly useful to know what fics can break your heart in two.
I'm not into death!Fic, neither AwfulEnding!fics, or so, and knowing myself, I would totally go into them just to finish the reading and feeling totally destroyed.
So thank you!
As well I followed sodoesrachael's suggestion and went to find Sapphire's fic.
It's AMAZING.
Just to make it easier for everyone to find it, here's the link:

It's the first part but in her memories you can find it all, I guess.
It absolutely worths some attention!

Amish!Justin?
Also, regarding the "topic", I also have met a story with such a terrible ending that it took me weeks to recover. If only I'd know beforehand that the author likes to either start happy and end miserable, or start miserable and end happy. Too bad I took an overload of miserable, because the sequel starts miserable. (But that was in Naruto fandom, so no one is really interested.)
I feel your pain, but I can't think of anything to rec. Sorry!
... or maybe... By Any Other Name (http://community.livejournal.com/qaf_challenges/72285.html) or Cupcake (http://eleveninches.livejournal.com/138433.html) or Identity Crisis (http://www.suzvoy.com/qaf/identitycrisis.html) or Like Having Sex (http://yearningvoid.net/stories/julad/000070.html) or NOM de GUS (http://community.livejournal.com/qaf_challenges/8907.html) or something super-long: Sunshine Files (http://www.mags-nificent.com/MSW/TS.htm)?
I hope there's something you haven't read!
Luv, reb
