looking for longish, hurt brian stories...

Hello...

I've been looking through the tags here to see if I needed to make this post or not and while I did find some stories I didn't find much...(maybe I searched wrong? I don't know...)

Anyway, I am really looking for good stories that have hurt!Brian in it...if it is emotional pain it would be even better but I am settling for anything where he is hurt...

And if the fic is a longish one I would be even better because I like to sink my teeth into a good long story...


Anything out there? Please?

There's "Pain management" (40 chapters) and the sequel "Guilt management" (28 chapters) by sfscarlet on MW. It's emotional pain and bodily pain.

Negation (http://jane2005.livejournal.com/42468.html) by jane2005 has a raped!Brian. He's pretty messed up emotionally after. It's 15 chapters.

Queer Theories (http://www.gaedhal.com/fanfictionpage.html) by Gaedhal has some wonderful messed up Brian. And it's long as hell. The only downside is that the site keeps going down (it is now) and as far as I know, it isn't posted anywhere else unless they've begun posting it in more places. It's definitely a fic to keep bookmarked, though.

Hm...wow. For an angsting Brian addict, I seem to forget to bookmark a LOT of fics.

The author posted on their LJ that they're trying to find a new site to post the fics on. I posted a comment asking if there had been any progress just after I recced these, but I haven't heard back. I'd keep an eye on the site. It seems to be kind of random for when it will work and when it won't.

I have a series of stories about Brian in what's called the Mirror-verse: Mirror, Precipice, and Dream, which is a WIP, but close to be finished. You'll find messed up Brian in emotional and physical pain. They are flocked here on LJ, so you would have to be friended. And, yes, they're long! :)

I came to recommend besame_bj's Mirror universe stories and see that she beat me to it! So I'm re-recommending it. I think that it fits what you're looking for to a tee. Brian's dealing with a lot of emotional stuff and what's even better is that Justin's there by his side and has an important role in all of it. I myself kind of like stories in which the empasis is moved away from "how do Brian and Justin get together" to "what do Brian and Justin do once they're together". besame_bj is very good at that.

I don't know if you've read Cohorts in Crime http://www.angelfire.com/folk/defensivewalls/cohortsincrime.html. It's sorta AU where B/J are the same age. It's super long and Brian is physically hurt/beat up by his father. It's not the entire part of the story, but when that happens, it's one of my favorite parts.

And I'll just stand up for the rec. If you like hurt!Brian and suspense, besame's fics are for you! I held the first two in reserve for the longest just so I'd know they were out there waiting on me. Now, I've put Dream on hold, just waiting for that right rainy day. ;)

I don't know what Tags and Memories categories you checked. There's "brian hurt or down a well," "disability fics," "amnesia fics," "b/j shot," etc. some of these may be about Justin, you'll just have to look and see.

No, Dream is almost done--there are only a few more chapters. But the Mirror-verse goes on. At this point, I'm as addicted to it as a lot of my readers, lol! I think I'm pathetic! :)

Here's a link to my archive at Midnight Whispers. I love Brian but i love a strong Justin so in all of my stories there's a little problem with Brian. I've gone from Asthma, to Cancer Arc stories. I've even given him Epilepsy. The Perfect Holiday i would reccomend that Brian Has Epilepsy and he meets Justin who is an elf on Christmas it's very good. Heck i even have a story where Brian has one leg. Some of them are WIP but i'm always updating

i checked those tags and i did find some stories but not many...maybe i am too picky? but it seemed to me that for a comm this huge there wasnt that much actually in the tags so before starting to over every single day (which i would've done, i am crazy that way...) i thought to make this post...

Yes, there should be a ton of tags for those categories. Originally, the moderators/taggers didn't get real specific with the tagging. Red and I are trying to get up to speed and working our way backwards so at *some* point, the tag and memories should be really, really super useful. We've got about 500 or so tags now; previously there were only a couple dozen. It's a huge project, that's for sure. ;)
