someone asked in july about plane crash fics, and someone commented with the description of a fic (but they didn't remember the author, title or where they read it):

It's a 9-11 fic. Brian missed his flight in Boston which is the one that crashed in PA and got another one which diverted somewhere so he buys a car and drives to the Pitts. Everyone's at Debbie's waiting for news. I'm sure it on the Moonshadow Tribe, but don't remember who wrote it.

anybody an idea what it could be?

FOUND: it's Waiting by Pfyre. TONS of other recs there too!

I love it when you go all dom and shit!

I know one other real events fic, well, two. One is Suzvoy's where Kinnetik folds in the economic crash and there's another one I've been trying to remember all night along with the 9/11 one and I can't even recall what event it's about. *ties thinking cap tighter* (or do you think I should loosen it a little? get a little air circulating? lol)

I went to look for Suz's fic to link and couldn't find it in her Mems or her site. Was it a challenge fic? Very believable and I wanted it to continue.

how the fuck is it 2:30 in the morning and I'm not tired yet? good thing it's Friday and I'm not working tomorrow!

Never mind, wasn't Xie. Someone did one where Kinnetik wasn't doing too good, but Brian didn't lose everything.

You know...I was thinking about how Brian is with money. With his own, he spends it like it's water, but he was very careful with Kinnetik. And as tight as Ted is, I don't think that the company would go under. The accounts might stagnate, but he'd be okay financially, and the main reason would be that it isn't a public company. It was the ones on the NYSE that went belly up. Oh, and Madoff? Brian would have hunted him down and cut his balls off.

Yes, I just read that one in the last couple of days. He, Ted and Cynthia have a meeting and she says they're overstaffed, Brian says don't lay anyone off and then he asks Ted about Gus' college fund, etc. Can't remember what it was now, though. ;\

I agree; I don't think he or Ted is reckless. I would like to have an acct like Ted, actually.

Me too!!

And yep, that's the fic I was talking about, the one where Brian doesn't want to lay off anyone.
