Hey, I've just re-read besame_bj 's series and I'd love to keep on reading fics or ficlets in which Justin's relation to Gus is highlighted, it can be antsy, sweet, ... and all the better if it involves Brian, the cwazy lesbians or a very stupid/pathetic Mickey (= Michael)!

RE: stories: have you checked the tags/memories? 'Gus stories' are a pretty popular search subject, so there are a ton of links already posted.

Okay, that's a bit over the top. Opinions are fine. My beef was with the spelling, really. After 8 years, we should all know who the principles are. And lately, I've been through enough posts where the main characters are either misspelled or mis-named. And I can't edit posts, so it's frustrating.

I didn't mean "opinions in general," not really. I posted that after the response to your first comment. I know we all have opinions (I myself am not Michael's biggest fan by any stretch), but this isn't a 'rant' community. We should all play nice. :P

P.S. I'm pretty certain the spelling was deliberate. That's my beef.

Wow, this got completely out of hand!!! I'm French and my first reflect was to spell it "Mickey" like the mouse, sorry, but I couldn't remember the spelling and couldn't be bothered to check, I'm really sorry because it seems that it annoyed many people... it was not my purpose, honest! But I don't think I should apologize for not liking Michael, many authors have made a special "anti-Michael" category in fictions: I meant like Michael realizes that Brian isn't just a sex machine but also a father and a partner not in a "let's kill Michael" way! I meant it in a fun way....

No one's asking you to like Michael; lots of people don't, hence the anti-Michael fic. Just remember that lots of people do, and see beyond the first impression that was given to us. Canon was very ambiguious in the early days of QAF, possibly do to the correlations to the original UK version, where the Brian and Michael avatars do end up together. That spawned a huge shipper war early on in fandom. There are folks here that got caught up in that, and they are very touchy about it still. Thankfully, I came along later.

So there's some fandom trivia for you. And I totally understand if English is your second language. Misspellings happen. Sometimes we react to them without taking that into consideration.

Thanks, the UK version was never showed in France and as for the US version, we only had the first season, I got the rest from Youtube, but I don't have the greatest memory, and I often make mistakes! I SO did not know that the "English" versions of Brian and Michael ended up together, that explains a lot of things in the fandom like you said... and I must admit that I usually get so caught up in the meaning of my sentence that I don't think about what it could entail to others! Thanks again, subject closed as far as I'm concerned.

Oh, one thing...Youtube leaves out a lot of stuff. I've seen some clips there, and talk about holes in the narrative!! If you can get your hands on the dvd's, I highly reccommend it. You'll be amazed at what got left out!

Yeah, I know but in France, dvds are like French wine: expensive unless you want some crap! I mean 80$ the season, and somehow I don't think my very conservative parents are gonna buy them for my Christmas!

Ok, je sais que tout le monde n'a pas accès à Canal +, mais elle a été diffusée il y a quelques années. Je ne me souviens pas quand exactement, probablement 2 ans après sa diffusion anglaise, mais pour avoir vu le nom de la série dans la grille des programmes de la chaine à l'époque (cela m'avait même intriguée mais passait trop tard pour moi), je sais qu'elle a été diffusée.

L'intégrale de la série a été diffusée sur Pink tv et la saison 2 passera dès la fin du mois sur Série Club :)

Canal + et Pink Tv sont des chaînes privées auxquelles je n'ai jamais eu accès puisque je n'ai que les 6 chaînes hertziennes, je ne les ai donc pas inclues dans mon commentaire et je ne vérifie pas les programmes des chaînes que je ne reçois pas, j'ai pu voir quelques épisodes sur Série Club mais comme je l'ai dit, pour l'instant, seule la première saison a été diffusée, quant aux dvds, même à 40 euros l'unité, ça reste un investissement d'au moins 200 euros pour toute la série, ça représente un mois de courses, et j'aime bien manger! Décidément, tout le monde est froissé par mes commentaires.

I just explained myself in reply to vlredreign, I'm not sure you will get an e-mail from it so i reply to your post too, I did not choose that spelling to be mean but because as a French person, it is the most common spelling of this word that I know, and I did not think of the difference with Michael's official nickname. Sorry if I offended you but there are many people who requested anti-Michael fiction and who were not as "delicate" as I thought I was, and I don't think I should be ashamed of asking for such works: Edom for example is a very respected author here yet she writes fictions that clearly antagonize Michael's character. I apologize again if I had myself misunderstood.
