...so I was once more trying to organize the stories I've saved on my computer over the last three years (aka the never ending project) and as usual I found a story I saved with no link or author, and I'd really like to know where it came from.

It's called "With Interest," and basically it's a 110 one-shot, where Brian brings Justin back from New York and gets him the job at the diner so he can start paying off the credit card he stole, and he opens a bank account so Justin can put the money in it that he's paying back.

So at the end Justin wants to know when he'll have paid off the credit card so he can buy a motorcycle, to which Brian says there is no way that's happening. But later, when Justin still wants to know when his debt will be paid off, Brian tells Justin he doesn't really expect to be paid back for the credit card. That Justin's punishment was to take the crappy job at the diner, which he's made a success of, and the money in the bank account is his to keep.

Does anyone remember this one. I think it's an old one. Thanks for the help.

Your Welcome I have read all the Morpheus fics so I immediately knew which one it was.

For future reference, the fastest and easiest way to find the origin of a fic like this is to just Google a few short, relatively unique snippets of it.

For example, for yours, Googling a couple of random phrases from the first few paragraphs together:
"Justin was unfazed by" "darkly angry and scowling"
yields the link above.
And the entire process took <15 seconds.

Whereas posting here, you might not get lucky.

Of course it doesn't always work, especially when searching for a fic you don't have from a vague description. But when you actually have the story (as you seemed to) and you're just looking to figure out where it came from, it generally does yield a result almost every time. I do the same thing for the same reason pretty frequently, and it's way faster than posting here, so I just thought it might save you some time next time, that's all.

Nope. Just trying to help people get what they're looking for as quickly as possible, and allow the comm to focus on search situations where the fic can't be found via a quick Google search given the information at hand. More efficient for everyone that way. :)

You are a very lucky lady. You are inquiring about one of the best stories
in the fandom, "With Interest" by Morpheus. It's one of the early ones
and it's on everybody's best story list. e ure to read all her stories.
They're all terrific.
Be sure to write her and tell her how much you love the story. Cheers
Sarah
