so I've kinda been on the fringes of the fandom for a while, and I'm getting back into it, and I can't remember where I found this one fic.  It goes AU after Justin runs away to NY, and he ends up as a tattoo artist, and he has all these cool tats, and there was something about how one night he took a homemade tattoo gun and just entirely inked his hands.  last time I read it it was about 40-something chapters long, and I'd really like to find it again.  can anyone help me find it?

The only other place was at bjfic but it's down.

I hit the wrong button, I was actually in the process of re-reading that myself, which is why I knew so quickly, that was the ch. tab I was on. ooops

Rory, was it complete at bjfic as I notice at the LJ it hasn't been updated in over three years so I don't want to start reading it if it's never going to be finished. *hugs* Lyn.

No, this was SOOOOO SADLY never completed.

But seriously, and you know I wouldn't steer you wrong, but you can read it up to the chapter it is at now. Read the last bit of the last chapter 49, it is, first, and see if you'd be happy with that sort of ending. I mean, of course I want more and feel there could have been more explored, but it isn't a bad place to end it. I've read 'completed' fics that have worse endings and more loose ends.

P.S. Have you read UNLEASHED? It's one of my favorite fics ever and that is completed. It starts with THIS ENTRY HERE (http://mohawking.livejournal.com/14332.html#cutid1). If you haven't read it, you must, immediately.

Probably "Mechanical Mchelangelo" by Mohawking, as was suggested above. But that link only goes to 43. Chapters 44 to 49 can be found here: http://mohawking.livejournal.com/

Still a permanent WIP though.

I definitely think you could read this story up to where it ends and be satisfied. Of course, there are a few things that need tying up and it seems that there could be more between B/J that could be worked through and written, but it is one of three eternal W.I.P. that I will read time and time again.

Thanks for the heads up on this story. Mechanical Michelangelo was so creative and compeling, I couldn't turn off my computer. Even though it's not finished ... there is a finish to an arc. I highly recommend it.
