Blast from the Past: The Grocery Challenge
Dear
getithere,
Well, it's getting late on a Saturday night and once again, I'm bored. I heard about old fic challenges but don't have links. Can you help a girl out, please?
Signed,
Bored at Home
Dear Bored at Home,
You wrote at *just* the right time. As it happens, I was just looking through my old bookmarks and I have the links you're looking for.
The Grocery Challenge. Start with this fandom classic, Busy Week on the Fridge.
Until next Saturday night, happy reading!
Love,
getithere

There are so many new folks around who get caught up in all the current things, that I don't think they've looked back to find the old stuff. That's why I love it when you pimp your rec lists.
I remember making a comment about some fic soon after I got to fandom and Paddies responding with a "omg, you've never read that before?" which started several recs coming my way and she said how much she envied all the fab fic I was about to read for the first time. I really know what she means now! (Not that reading them for the 1029384098 time isn't good, too, but there's just nothing like the first read.)

I'm using my schmooptastic icon as a veiled nudge and inquiry about your schmooptastic wip. ;)

Speaking of the anon challenge, I've got Blank Canvas (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=laylafic&keyword=Blank+Canvas&filter=all) all cued up for my weekend reading. I've had the itch to reread it again recently and this weekend's the time. ;)
