Long Fic Recs

I need someone to rec some long fics. I haven't read QaF fic in a while (six months or so - or maybe it just seems that way since June just would not end :P) and have fallen behind on my reading. So, I guess I'm looking for fairly new, long fics - and crack!fic is fine (I have a deep love for it. :D).

I don't know if this request is too vague or not. I guess Red will tell me if it is. :)

Hi Sid! A newish author you may not know is england13. She's got several one-shots and a series, Choices (), that's a WIP with just a few chapters to go. I really like her writing a lot.

I purposely ignore some fics that I know are going to be long so I can save them up for a rainy day. One I finally gave in on a few months ago is besame_bj's Mirror!Verse, Mirror, Precipice, and Dream (http://besame-bj.livejournal.com/tag/fic:+mirror-verse). You may already be following this series, but if not, you're in for a long weekend or a lot of late nights! Dream's still a WIP that's updated every Sunday. Link is to the most recent Dream chapter, you'll have to page back to get to Chapter 1 of Mirror to begin the whole thing.

There's a novel-length category in the Memories but I don't know what all is in it. Might be something you haven't read in awhile.

I've not heard of england13, so I'll definitely check her out. I may wait until "Choices" is finished before reading it. I have a horrible fear that WIPs won't be finished, and I'll be left hanging. :P

I don't know if I've read the mirror!verse or not. I've seriously missed reading my fics, but it's kind of hard to know where to start after such a long hiatus.

I wanted to read these Friday night, but some moron hit a light pole and knocked out all the electricity for the grid. It was a bit hard trying to read fic on the cell phone, lol.

*smackles you back* I am so MIA except on this comm. I try to check in with it several times each evening, but other than that, RL work has kept me pretty much tied up. And not in the way we'd prefer, if you get my drift and I know you do... ;) But when I feel lonely and missing my flist, I just look at the headlines and remind myself how v.v. lucky I am to have a job and benefits and my bills paid and get right on to work and shut the fuck up, you know? lol

yeah, england13's slowed down with her updates but i think she'll finish. read her one-shots in the meantime. you'll like her writing style, I'm very sure.

Mirror!verse is two completed long chapter fics and an ongoing, updated-weekly wip. begins with joan's death and brian finding out some very unexpected personal history. Plus we have the normal B/J ups and downs and then some mystery and suspense, too. Besame_bj always weaves in the mystery and since that's my favorite kind of fiction to read, I sign right on up for her rollercoasters! ;))

I'll keep thinking about this and PM you if more things come to mind. you've read wren_kt7oz's Reverb and Homecoming, right? Reverb is complete now and Homecoming is an ongoing wip. Redo of season 5 and alternate season 6. she's not a fan of michael, so if that bothers you, best to stay away. otherwise, i recommend these two fics. they're on bjfic.net, but since it's down, you can read them through her LJ Memories.

Now that you've rec'ed Wren, I have to rec her story 'Experiment'. It is one of my all time favorite B/J fic's, and since I love the comm, that's saying something :) but again, it is anti Michael.
