Justin 's with Ethan when Brian's loft catches fire...

I can't find this fic because I can't remember a lot of details, so help.

Brian's loft catches fires and he's injured. He asks for Justin, Justin is with Ethan (eww). Justin goes to the hospital but he says something about helping Brian as pay back for all Brian has done for him in the past.I remember Brian asking him to leave and some how Justin and Michael have a confrontation.

I also remember that the background to this fic was bright red and killed my eyes.I don't know if this will help but I just thought I'd mention this.

Are you sure it's a fire? The only two loft fire fics I can think of are kimberleyqaf's Incendiary (http://www.mags-nificent.com/MSW/KimF/Incendiary.htm) and jane2005's Inferno (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=jane2005).

Kim's fics are at her LJ and over on the Moonshadow Tribe and they almost all use eye-strain-giving backgrounds, so I thought of hers first, but both these fics are late S5 What If? types.

I hope someone recognizes your request because I'd like to give it a look. There's a couple of fics where Brian has accidents of one kind or another when Justin's with Ethan and Justin comes back to be with him, but I can't think of one with a fire.

As a hint for easier reading, if you use Firefox, Flame suggested clicking the View tab and then under Page Style, choose No Style. It will remove all those horrible font/background colors.

Also, will you change your subject line to be more specific to your search, please? e.g., Fire at the Loft while Justin's with Ethan or something similar. Will help with others' searches and storing in the Memories. Thanks!

Try this for applying readable style:

It lets you set margin, mild background color and font. And it removes ads and all annoying graphic content. Just make sure you open the link with styles enabled ;)

Thanks for the tip! I bookmarked the site, selected my preferred style, and dragged the button to my toolbar. Works similarly, though it looks more polished, to No Style, but having a one-click button is really convenient.

Those aren't the fics. It's Fire, by Simon. Colorful found the link. I knew I'd read that one a long time ago.

The background for me is like a pale beige, but I swear I remember it being orange!!

Why they use those backgrounds and font colors at that site is beyond me; ugly *and* difficult to read, what's the point? - but with that desctiption, I was positive it was a fic on the Tribe, that's for sure! lol

I was so thrilled to find out about No Style and now this Readability option. lol

Actually, only the "front page" color fits; the chapters are on a light background with black text. I read the first page and think this might be the requested fic, though.
